Thread title inspired by the Grey's S4 premiere because it was a daft little storyline that made me giggle my butt off.

I mean really, the show doesnt just belong to MD and with that huge cast the screentime cant be equal

..they need to grow up, I don't mean to be rude or anything but for days KH bash happened but it wasn't stopped..as soon as KH fans defended her it became MD bash..fair enough I guess

whatever...I dont believe it either..Shonda herslf said she had this SL in mind for soo long...much before the Emmy thing (god I hate this Emmy crap being pulled n attacked her every second

I don't know why they bring up the Emmy stuff considering Patrick Dempsey has been critical of the show and his character. In return he received a great arc that involved the serial killer, went deeper into Derek's past, and Derek going into the darkside. Katherine isn't the only castmember that voiced disapproval. Ellen Pompeo has done it. Sara Ramirez has done it. They have done it including T.R. Knight. How easy one forgets huh

. I don't mind when castmembers voice their mind. Sometimes I agree and disagree, and they have every right to say it. In turn it looks like this season Patrick and Katherine were proven correct in their assessments. Their storylines have been praised along with their performances. Grey's Anatomy is being hailed and praised once again thanks to the three major storylines involving Derek's darkness, Owen's PSTD, and Izzie's cancer. Did all three storylines have flaws? Definitely, but overall all three storylines paid off

. They're relateable and pull heartstrings. To top that off Grey's Anatomy is getting talked again in a positive way. Don't get me wrong the season had flaws, but the critical assessments by the castmembers were proven correct. Castmembers brought their A game (even though Katie has always given that) as did the writers. The castmembers were right in their critical assessment.

Honestly, the only ones I seen pissed are the MerDer or Meredith fans

. Since the online fandom has decreased over the past five years they tend to be more vocal. There are other shippers who are understandable pissed as well, but from my own and some of my friends' research the reaction has been overly positive

. I'm a part of many fandoms so I also venture into non-GA places, and that's where the general audience are at (e.g. Twitter is one of them too). It's just that tunnel vision fandoms tend to get, and they don't want to listen to reason. As the saying goes truth stings.

I mean I posted only a fraction of the positive reviews I seen

. There is a reason why the GA spoiler thread was closed due to constant bashing, hypocrisy, immaturity, and etc. I don't think your being rude Mysha. Your just being honest. When I was mod at the GA board I had to make a rule that banned "anti-shipper/character" due to certain posters' behavior. Sadly, I saw many of those posters breaking the rules that are still listed in the episode thread.

Like Nil I stopped caring for the most part what those peeps said because you can honestly never reason with them. I seriously tried, but nothing came of use

. They're bitter, jealous, and want their couple to act OOC

. If MerDer got married the episode IMO wouldn't have been this talked about nor praised. It would be recaps nothing more nothing less. I seen 100th episodes where the main couple got hitched, and in the end it's quite boring as are the reactions

. It's a bit of a lackluster.

Was the 100th episode more Izzie-centric? Yes, however; it's not surprising it was. We knew in July '08 that Izzie would have the CENTRAL storyline this season. ABC President and Shonda Rhimes said this many times during the TCAs. Plus Izzie didn't always get a lot of screentime in every episode. Her scenes were there because it was building up her storyline. Some episodes it would be Izzie-centric, and sometimes her storylines would be the subplot. Just depends.

I honestly love love this season. Is it because Izzie had a big part? Oh heck yea because I loved how her storyline did so much from teaching her students to the cancer storyline, but her storylines aren't the only reason. I really enjoyed Owen's PSTD storyline along with his relationship with Cristina. I really enjoyed the serial killer arc, and it gave us great backstory and scenes in regards to Meredith and Derek (and this is coming from someone who isn't a big fan of them). I thought the crossover episodes were decent, and progressed many storylines such as Mexie and Izzie's teaching of her students. I really liked Chief and Meredith coming to terms and acknowledging he is her father figure . The patient storylines were great too from the pig debate to blowhole...etc. I could go on and on. For all those reasons this season is my favorite, and I seriously didn't think S2-S3 could be beaten

Overall, it was good season. Are there some things I would have changed? Definitely. Did Izzie own the season? She did

along with Owen

. For once in a very long time the season had flow and consistency (minus the George debacle). The premiere and finale have parallels with Izzie could be sharing a similar fate with her princess counterpart in the premiere.

One thing I learned main couple shippers are never ever happy. They bitch about EVERYTHING under the sun. There is no pleasing them. It's one of the reasons I got a kick out of Shonda giving them a smackdown in her podcast

. 'Cause of the MerDer fans I think Shonda is kinda restricted on what she can do with that couple. There is only so much you can do, and this happens with every tv show main couple, so normally the writers go to the next popular character (the more polarizing the character and/or famous castmember gets the most press) is the next in line. Katherine is popular (polarizing just helps in that popularity lol) and marketable. She is wicked talented. She can act out anything, and she continues to evolve as an actress. There is no denying that, despite some errors this season where the critics tore up, Izzie's cancer storyline and Owen's PSTD became one of the most compelling and talked about storylines. Plus MerDer wasn't the only thing marketed for the 100th. Izzie was marketed in both ABC and CTV Promos, and having Justin on the talk shows last week thus promoted Izzie and Alex/Izzie more. MerDer wasn't the only marketed here.

Just had to get that off my chest because sometimes I want to say something, but in the end I know it wouldn't do anything. Those peeps' minds are set, so now I just LMAO because everything they say the opposite happens. I'm just relishing in the praises Katherine and her character is receiving. I'm not A/I fan, but as I said time and time again I respect their scenes when they are acted, directed, and written perfectly. In the 100th episode they were

Will the rug be pulled under from A/I? Will there be a divorce? I wouldn't be surprised, but I really don't take those things as insults or attacks because all it means Izzie will continue to have screentime. The writers have more flexability to work with Izzie's character and Katherine can hit any emotional layer out of the park. Whatever bad crap that happens to A/I just means screentime for Izzie. Drama and angst is what gives characters screentime. Constant happiness and fan restrictions you end up like MerDer

. Why their fans want the church wedding is beyond me because that would be completely OOC for both characters. That's not them, and they will get their "union" in the finale. Though considering the posts made by them it's not surprising this type of logic

btw, I clocked Izzie's screentime at less than 20 minutes

. A poster put all of Izzie's scenes on Friday on You Tube, and I added about 19 minutes not 30

. Izzie got about half of the episode (

), but she didn't get three-fourths the episode though. Overall the 100th episode was Izzie centric, but it definitely paid off. The media, critics, and overall fan reaction was overwhelming. Tellin' ya it's just that tunnel vision. I think the writers should have decreased Callie/Arizona, so then each member of MAGIC had something going on. That's the only thing I would have drastically changed

They are saying that they are not bashing Katherine but calling her as "Whinny Diva" is bashing

or "I hope Izzie dies" is very mean word IMO.

I admit that I didnt like that storyline at first and bashed the writers/Shonda too. But it is nothing to do with Katherine. bashing actors/actresses is beyond stupid, and giving a huge SL to Izzie this season didnt mean they ignored MD completely

Izzie was barely on some of the episodes for example

btw ITA with screentime= drama thingy and for this reason I would rather prefer AI with less screentime and less drama

MDers call Katie as being ungrateful but after getting the perfect MD this season, I think they are a bit ungrateful too.

You know I'm more of a character fan, but be careful what you wish for lol. 'Cause MerDer fans asked exactly for the same thing, and looked what they got

. When MerDer had conflict with the serial killer and Emo Derek at least it was exciting to watch. It was somewhat new to see. IDK what the writers can do now with MerDer that hasn't been done already

If Katie is ungrateful, then so is Patrick, Ellen, and etc etc. You can easily find quotes where PD and EP vocal disapproval on how MerDer and their characters are written. I think those fans are being ungrateful, hypocritical, and carry a whole lot of double standard. Ah, that green-eyed monster is showing on them

. They never learn, and the more they do it the more I believe it just pisses off Shonda. She clearly did a smackdown on them in her podcast. Some of Shonda's choices have been questionable this season, however; it paid off IMO.

Katherine's strong performance is one of the reasons why it's paying off (even though Katherine's acting has been praised consistently throughout this season). I seen many cancer storylines from A Walk To Remember to General Hospital's Emily Quartermaine returns storyline. I adored those storylines, but I feel Katherine has pulled off performances Mandy Moore and Natalie Lingston (sp?) never achieved in their performances. Those actresses are good in their own right and I am a fan of their work, but Katherine's strong performances is one of the reasons why this cancer storyline is being praised (e.g. critic and fan reviews all season long prove this). Great writing, directing, and performances. It's breathtaking to watch

yesterday they were bashing Izzie again in MD thread and some of the posters asked if Izzie is gonna lose her memory on SF , I answered it and told we dont know it exactly then other poster told me not to go MD thread if I have nothing to say about MD.

It was so mean and I get offended, but the mods dont see any of these. And I hate complaining mods about everything but it was so unfair
