so i thought, we already had some threads on our favourite isabel hairstyle or our favourite isabel outfit etc. but an appreciation thread for the coolest girl in Roswell, New Mexico was missing. that got to be fixed and here we are.

I haven't seen any S3 episodes except FAAAB - but my favourite Isabel episodes have to be Toy House and Surprise. I loved to see her kick some skin ass while saving Tess. [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img]

Why do I like her?
don't know about you, but when i watch a series, i look at the girls which one i can relate to the most and/or could be a rolemodel. maria was too crazy for my taste. i liked liz, but she was too petite and too sweet to have anything in common with me. i can relate to isabel as people often describe me as distant and mistake it for arrogance.

Favourite Storyline
sure the Vilandra Storyline. i was pretty dissappointed on how they neglected it after Wipe Out! and how poorly they picked it up in S3. they could have made much more of this.

her hair in "Graduation" at liz's wedding

Why do I like her?
From the first moment, I saw her in Roswell, I really like her - her style, her character, everything on her is so special!
I think her Ice-Princess Style is how I'm acting, too. And her problems with boys, I think they copy my life.

The Story with Michael - I'm a pure Cliffhanger

Favourite Hairstyle
I liked her long blond hair and what she did with. Every hairstyle looks great on her.

Favourite Outfit
The black leather shoes and the red leather top in second episode on 2th season

thanks for answering Yas! and i have to agree - that outfit was hot. i also liked her wardrobe on the 2nd season promo pics. especially the suede organe dress. [img]smilies/in_love.gif[/img]

does anyone actually know where the shipper name "Wild Ones" came from? my tip would be her always wearing leather in the promo pics. [img]smilies/lol.gif[/img]

Sometimes I think the Isabel in the Roswell High books is a little bit cooler than Isabel in the show.

I love her relationship to Michael in the books and that she was a cheerleader *g*

honestly i have only read the first 5 books or so, i guess the michael thing came in later? i remember isabel/maria fighting over him and in the end he picked a girl named cameron?

i agree on the cheerleader part: i thought that would have been great if they brought that or better said the fact that isabel had friends in the series. like: i think in season one in "leaving normal" we saw her with two latina-girls who were supposed to be her friends but after that we never saw them again. wasn't her best friend in the books called Tish Okabe? so question: if you could have casted her, whom had you chosen? i think it would have been great to see isabel having a life and friends outside the group.

other than that i had the feeling that book-isabel was a lot more childish than TV-isabel. less ice-queen-ish... what does everybody else think?

To be honest, I read only five books, too.

And I think she was Ice Queen enough but I wish we saw more of the whole Roswell Highschool in the series.

In the books there was a girl with this websites where she rated boys. This is what I want to see in the series

Hmmm....I think that book-Isabel was much more stereotypical "I'm better than you are-bratty-cheerleader-daddy's girl", like the popular girl you always see in teen flicks who has everything but deeep down, her life isn't all that perfect... [img]smilies/rolleyes.gif[/img]

I think the thing that made me relate to & discover a liking for the character of Isabel was the unusual balance created in the tv series, not so much the books...TV-Isabel had a well-blended balance of the stereotypical blonde with also a softer side, a lonely side & a realistic side...
