yeah maybe one of his patients will be one happy loving couple and he is gonna be affected by them

from his attitude towards Izzie and the love he always had for her since season 1, its obvious she's 'the one' for him and he knows it!

The way Alex says ILY I can't tell if the writers will make it a big deal or not

. As I saw one poster note Alex says it in a way of a thank you type of deal. IDK if that will be the context it will be presented in, but I can see why that poster got that interpretation. While I think it's a big step for Alex, however; sometimes rewatching the sneak peek Alex comes off too clingy or needy. Something Alex never done before thus making him very OOC, and he's character has been presented as borderline one dimensional for the past 3 episode(except for a few scenes here and there where you can see the 3D Alex or in-character Alex again). I thought perhaps it would be a fluke thing, but I'm starting to agree with others(sadly something even Alex fans noted -- not saying it's a consenus just noting it's been said) that Alex is becoming more one dimensional and OOC. I rather him act like an ass then at least he would be in character

. Hopefully what I'm interpretating is wrong, and we will see more in-character Alex throughout the episode.

We knew Alex's POV since S2, but we never fully went in-depth with Izzie's POV. I feel Izzie's point of view is far more crucial than Alex's because we don't know too much about it(took 5 seasons for Izzie to actually say she cared about Alex -- something we knew but it's nice to hear her say it because we know she is a compassionate person, but it also gives more of a confirmation to the viewers) and if Izzie doesn't return what Alex wants, then quite possibly like most tv show ships they will break-up(though depending on whether Katherine stays or not A/I will probably come together again). I just want the best for Izzie, and IDK if Alex's ILY is the best course of action for her at this present time

. We knew what Alex felt since S2(though the question is how much does Izzie know of course), so this is nothing new to me except to the fact he is saying it out loud to her. It's just I don't want Izzie to feel pressured to say ILY back or to progress her relationship with Alex if she's truly not ready. If Izzie is not ready, then she has every right to decline. That said I feel the more pressing issue is Izzie's emotional/mental well being. Izzie is clearly messed up, so I would like her to open up to someone...anyone...that can help her through this. She got so shooked up with what happened in "Rise Up" and still seeing Denny all over the place(until noted otherwise I firmly believe Denny is here for a reason -- two weeks ago we saw a peek of it by having Izzie releasing and telling Denny what it was like after he died and the guilt she carries). Izzie needs some type of help, guidence, and support. I guess I see Izzie's well being more of a priority than her relationship with Alex at the moment

Since Izzie is going through a tough time, something Alex knows, I'm really bewildered(afterall Alex has been through the crazy world before with his mother and Rebecca) and somewhat irked why Alex would push so hard(again depending on the context of the scenes). Unless he is under the impression Izzie is better now, and with that senerio I would be okay with Alex's ILY. If not, then I really not loving it

. If Alex doesn't have that impression, then I don't think it's fair for Alex to say ILY or be this pushy/clingy(that's another manner depending on how the writers write it) to Izzie when she is clearly "messed up". Having him come off too needy and/or clingy in the sneak peek makes the ILY possibly a selfish move on his part(that is if the writers make it into a big deal -- cause seriously with these writers you never know). Making it into something that benefits him in the end and not Izzie. IDK personally I would have liked an ILY done on better circumstances where it's mutual and the time was perfect

, but being tv land you know that's a rarity lol. Hopefully I'm misinterpretating the sneak peek and promo because I seriously want to be wrong

. If not, then I'm not really raving about this because it makes Alex come off like a pushy mini-Derek Shepard

. I'm more interested about Izzie's emotional/mental welfare, and hope to see some progression on that front since she is working with her best bud George at the clinic. If Izzie is afraid to open up to Alex(we spoke about the possible reasons why she would be afraid previously in the thread), then I would love to see her open up to George since it would bring back the Gizzie friendship scenes(something that has been greatly neglected this season due to the bloated cast and misc. reasons). Again, not expecting it because of how these writers write, but I would like some progression lol.

Izzie/Denny ghost story twist revealed!

Warning: Stop reading, Grey's Anatomy fans, if you don't want to know the big secret behind Denny's afterlife love affair with Izzie.

I'm serious. Stop.

Okay then, here we go. Turns out Shonda Rhimes wasn't lying when she told me last month that a brain tumor wasn't what was causing Izzie's case of "I see dead people... and have sex with them!" But she was being sneaky.

Last chance to run, spoilerphobes!

According to multiple sources, Izzie's hallucinations are health-related -- and brain-related. And although the specific name of the ailment is being kept in the safe underneath Rhimes' desk, I'm told it's similar to an aneurysm. And every time it flares up, she sees Denny. And sometimes when it really flares up, she shags him. (A Grey's rep could not be reached for comment.)

But wait, there's more! Izzie's aneurysmish disorder was never intended to be fatal. Plans change, but, per an ABC insider, Rhimes didn't cook up this story in order to grant Katherine Heigl's alleged wish to be let go from the show. Rather, the boss wanted to give her employee the thing she allegedly wanted, the thing that eluded her last season: great, Emmy-worthy material.

And say what you want about the story, Heigl has delivered.

For their part, ABC execs remain divided except for on one point: Everyone acknowledges that the plot is asking the audience to take a huge leap. "It's definitely an unorthodox story, but I trust in Shonda," maintains one suit, who says the press will eviscerate the net no matter what they do. "If we interfere, we get blamed for messing with someone's creative vision. If we don't do anything, we get blamed for the backlash. You really can't win."

Another insider says Alphabet execs are getting antsy waiting for the audience to find out about the underlying medical issue fueling Izzie's spectral romance. So antsy, in fact, that they are applying some light pressure on Rhimes to speed up the reveal. Once you know the reason Izzie is seeing Denny, they figure, you'll be much more willing to go along for the ride.
