Personally, I thought Alex's initial reaction was OOC because if Alex was in character, then he should have seemed a bit jealous or angry. He's just standing like a deer in head lights, and MerDer seemed far more perturb with what is going on with Izzie than Alex did in that particular scene. IDK unless there is more to the scene when it airs I felt that bit out of character for Alex

. Normally, Alex has always been jealous or has shown anger to Izzie's sexual tyst right away as an initial response, and to see him just standing there was really weird

. That's not the reaction I was expecting unless there is more to the scene than what the promos and sneak peeks shows.

I can understand Izzie not telling Alex what is going on because of what happened with Rebecca, his mom, and she's scared herself. She wants to stay in her delusion because she doesn't want to hope something is wrong with her(remember she said this to Denny). I'm sure eventually Izzie will tell Alex, but gotta give her time because she's confused as hell herself

I liked the episode

. More than I thought I would

. Katherine, Jeff Dean Morgan, and Justin Chambers are really doing great with the storyline. Of course as a viewer and semi-fan of the show I would have gone a different route, but I'm still enjoying it

. I'm glad Izzie chose reality over fantasy, but glad she was still able to get some of her fantasy fulfilled. Plus there was some great foreshadowing in there at the end. The end to me proved credence to my theory that Denny is here to strengthen A/I by giving Izzie solid closure, but granted this storyline should have happened two years earlier. Alas, it's GA writing so what can we expect

. Anyways, due to the end this triangle honestly can be a very positive thing for everyone involved, and normally triangles aren't designed that way.

Unless there is more to show I can see Denny being here to help Izzie to move on. One of the things I liked about the episode is that we were able to get more into Izzie's psychie about how she felt when Denny died. She has all this guilt about killing Denny, even though she technically didn't because Denny rejected the heart, and felt so alone because he "left her". It was great acting by Katherine, and while Alex seemed OOC to me in the beginning he got in character for sure at the end

. His defense of Izzie, and by extension Denny, is showing he is starting to understand more about Dizzie/LVAD. That said I still feel rewrites will be made, and the storylines in the second half heavily depend on Katherine staying or leaving.

first time we are seeing Alex dealing with Izzie's love for Denny without any anger from his side...

I can see hints of it, but we still haven't gotten to that point yet because Izzie still hasn't told Alex about her seeing Denny. Once Izzie tells him the reaction should be interesting

.

When Alex told her "he could handle it" I automatically thought of the opposite writing angle. Right now Alex has no idea how screwed up things are, so he may have jinxed himself lol. Depending on whether Katherine stays or leave I still see the potential of this strengthening A/I

yea its got to be interesting for sure, but first I thought Alex will know really soon, but seeing how things are going right now, I doubt he'll know anytime soon

But Katherine Heigl plays it wonderfully, and I'm not sure there's another actress on television right now who could make a dead ex-boyfriend so intriguing.

ohh really Katie's performance was amazing with every frkn way she arguing with Denny was amazing I also love her mimics and she was great in last scene too

For me her acting in the bed scene was amazing! so many emotions involved, actually its the same with the scene where she yells at Denny

this is why I love Katie, she's great looking, a lovely person and so talented!

. Katherine's acting is really soaring this emotionally intense storyline. IDK if many actresses can pull it off like Katherine

.

The argument scene has to be one of my favorite scenes from the episode because it was freakin' intense with emotions. Every little niche Katherine touched upon, and yet she held restrainment of not going overboard which is hard to do in itself. To see Izzie releases or at least talk about her burden, loneliness,and etc was not only great for the character, but it was awesome to watch Katherine do it. The bed scene was really good too

. I loved how she did her voice volume, and she would make her voice crack a bit to emphasize how bittersweet that moment would be.

. Some great acting moments I'm enjoying in this storyline

Nil, I hear ya

. I loved her hair in the teaser of this week's episode. It was really natural in this week's episode, and I really loved it in teaser(hoping someone makes avatars of that scene just due to the hair when Izzie is sitting on the chair lol). When I rewatch the scenes on You Tube I'm sometimes drawn in by her hair

. It's so cute, and love how it moves.
