YAY. New thread! Thanks Mere. Love the title.

I bring news that was posted over at the CC thread in the Lost board. I don't know if any of you check The Fuselage, it's a forum for the fans of Lost and the writers too. Veronica picked up some stuff:

- Damon Lindelof writer of "Confidence Man": "The scene was meant to be good. Nothing more, nothing less. I credit all hottitude and seductivity to Dom and Emilie."

- David Fury about Emilie being absent for two episodes: It's simple, really. The cast is enormous for a series and the network would only allow a finite number of regulars (the budget wouldn't support anymore). So some characters could only be afforded as guest stars initially. But that doesn't mean that won't be seen again, or that their fates are predestined. It's really just a matter of creative bookkeeping.

That last point definitely made me feel better. I hated not knowing why she wasn't credited or even on for two weeks and it was annoying. And I remember someone saying something about how it could be to do with the budget and large cast they have. But I'm just glad it's been cleared up a bit.Right, I might go lurk at the site now to see if there is anything new.

Yeah, I just read. Damn, it would be cool to chat to the writers. And they were so teasing us with almost spoilers.

Thanks for the Ep 11 link. All I can say is.. Woah. Is Claire in it? It's unsure from the pics shown.

And the interview, it seems like the written version of more of that interview Kristin had with Emilie in her green top. Hmm, some interesting spoilers. Might go discuss it in the spoiler board then.

I prefer them to write tight stories, only concentrating on a handful of characters at a time, instead of trying to assign at least one line to each actor per week. They'd never get a good story written. We'd only see talking heads sitting around the camp fire.

POSSIBLE SPOILERS, but I'll go light.

The fact that she indeed is NOT in the ep 11 pics and Charlie is, plus that ep recap, plus the E!Gargantuan's tidbit have me very, very, worried. Ironically, not that IT will happen to Claire. Not that she dies. But that she disappears. From our screens. For a long time. That we better all relish every frame of RbyA.

I have a whole scenerio for what happens now worked out, but will save for the proper board. Could someone provide me a link to the spoiler or speculation board that you refer to that would be the proper place?

I need my hand held. I need people to tell me why my theory is full of it and couldn't possibly be right. I need a drink.

Sigh, I'm always worried about Emilie and her status on Lost. I really hate the creative bookkeeping they are doing to keep the current cast on there. I understand they can't have a large cast with the budget they have but everyone loves Claire! I mean, I went onto another board where there are tons of Charlie/Claire shippers who don't even know Emilie but they basically love her "sunshine" smile as they call it. I think it's rather sweet.

Charlie looks devastated in the pictures though.

I almost wish they just left her as guest-starring in the episodes. I don't know why but that would make me less "stressed" about what's going to happen to her.

I couldn't stand the first paragraph. The bi**h should just shut her mouth. Sorry, I hate Kristen and hope I never ever see her in person.

She said Emilie isn't contractually bound for the whole season. uh-oh. I don't need this worry right now.

I don't know if I can believe the plane crash happened just b/c Claire was suppose to keep her baby. While it will be nice b.c then Emilie will be moved to the front of the series, I think there's a bigger reason it happened.

I think I am being cosmicly punished for making fun of the E!Giantess. How depressing to be actually ANXIOUS to watch her Monday, my very fate in her really big hands

Since I've been such a downer on this, residing on the "sandy shores of depression", there are a couple of things that give me slight hope Herself, Ms EdR might not totally disappear.

One is, would they spoil this by telling the E!Wench? What's she going to say, "Claire is ta-ta after her own ep!" Whilst it would no doubt give her great pleasure, I just can't imagine them giving up this plot point like that.

The other shread of hope is the thing about another character stepping up to help Claire. She would have to be around for that, even if "other character" is the kidnapper. Right?

Anyway, this all makes D-Day, December 1, 2004 that much more important. And Jeeze, once again, how do you long-timers do it, going through this kind of angst all the time? Hope Herself, Ms EdR, appreciates you.

what can i say other than we just really dig emilie so we just muddle on through it all

....i can't stand kristin aka wanda...i remember back when roswell was on how much of an ass hat she was....i guess we should be comforted she hasn't changed....

backstreets, I noticed that Claire wasn't in the pics too. But they all looked so worried that maybe they didn't get Claire... She could still be with the kidnapper? Who knows? Those aren't all the pics so I'm not too worried.

Right, moving on from the spoilers... Great icons Leya!! I really should start making some more for Claire as well.
