Lamptrimmers #1 - Tess was Kyle's favorite Martian.
I hope it's okay I started an appreciation thread for Kyle and Tess. I loved these two together and they had a great chemistry.

I love Tess and Kyle. They were my favourite couple from Roswell. I wanted them to be together first but I was happy with their brother/sister relationship later. I think those two had the the best scenes. I loved them in A Roswell Christmas carol.

They were one of my favorite couples at Roswell as well. It was so nice and funny to watch them together because they usually had all the best scenes on the episodes...

Yep and there is many real good ones. Christmas episode contains many, The episode where Kyle thought he had powers to which channels at TV, Las Vegas episode etc...

That TV scenen with both of them was great. But i hated how he treated her in 4AAAB. She looked so sweet and all. But he was so bad to her...
But they always looked great together! __________________

I never got into Max/Liz or Michael/Maria much. I mean, M&M had potential in the beginning but started to fall flat. Tess and Kyle were pretty entertaining all the way through. It's a shame that they had Kyle say she was like his sister. *roll eyes* NW wasn't happy about that!

Yeah, the whole time i was waiting that they would kiss. And then that sister quote... I really jumped into the tv and got they kissing!!!!

I'd have preffered them dating, but having a brother/sister thing would have been good, too. Any interaction between them. Kicking Tess off ruined the show, IMO. Whether she was considered "good" or "bad", she still affected the other three aliens and all of the humans in many ways.

The problem with getting rid of Tess is that they ruined the entire balance of the show. Now it was about goody goody characters and who wanted to watch that?

Exactly. I mean, it challenged all of them. And it could even have *helped* Max/Liz, which the show was always centered on.
She could have done so many things. Max- his destiny, being torn between his uman and alien side. Isabel-Finally having a real friend, and also finding another female alien, plus trying to find the balance between normal life and finding out her new friend is indeed an alien. Michael-trusting someone new. They also could have had a plotline with Michael and Tess being related. Or not. Liz- resenting Tess for being Max's destiny, but having to try and work with her anyway. Kyle-finding an alien he actually likes and wants to get to know. Maria-it would have been really interesting, IMO, to see Tess and Maria have a bonding moment. Maria hated Tess right from the start, just because Liz did. I would have liked to see what would happen if Maria started liking Tess. Jim- having a girl in the house, being a sort of father figure to her. She helped him out with Amy. And so many more things. Sigh. Such a waste. __________________
