No scenes together - They brought Isla in for a season3 episode after Emilie left the show. I forget the name of the episode but the story was that Manaka (Isla) shows up to punish Dar and banish him for abandoning Curupira and her animals. (Which obviouly had happened back in season2).

Of course, Dar and the animals convince Manaka she's making a mistake. The story was told with a lot of flashbacks, though, and Emilie (Curupira) was in many of them. It was interesting that they changed the show dramatically in season3, including dumping half the cast, but Curupira was the only previous character the show ever mentioned or showed in flashbacks (they did it in another episode also). I think Beastmaster wanted fans to hold on to hope she would return to the show at some point because her character was so popular.

I must say that Em and Isla had to be the two best-looking demons in the universe.

too bad Emilie didn't go back to the show. Was it canceled before she got kicked off Roswell? cause then she could've gone back if she wanted.

I think she was a lot like Tess as in she took no crap and was very ballsy. She was just really fun to watch

Mouse, you're wondering the same thing Curupira fans were back then. Beastmaster ran the same 3 seasons as Roswell, so when she lost her part on Roswell after S2 we were hoping she'd come back to Beastmaster for S3, at least for a guest role in an episode or two. It seemed like a no-brainer, especially since Em didn't have any work at the time, plus Beastmaster seemed like they were trying to keep her character alive for what we thought might be a return.

But it was not to be - Tribune Entertainment, which funded Beastmaster, actually replied to our questions about Emilie's return by saying "We'd love to have Emilie back, but she's not available". If you think about it, that statement really didn't tell us anything other than Emilie wouldn't be back. It's still aggravating to think she wasn't working but yet still didn't return to Beastmaster.

But maybe the most simple explanation was she just wanted to stay in LA and not miss any new opportunities in the US if they came. Hindsight is easier, but I think if she had stayed with Beastmaster for all 3 seasons she would have been *really* in demand at the end of that show. She gambled on Roswell instead (I don't blame her), and that fiasco set her career back for a couple years IMO.

TessShipper - I agree she looked funny in Beastmaster. Who couldn't help but smile when you looked at her? Not many adults realized it at the time, but Curupira was hugely popular with kids, who were a significant part of Beastmaster's audience.

hmm we'll never know.
I happen to think the people behind Roswell treated her like crap and now it's happening with Lost too (due to her lack of screentime) I'm not really sure what Beastmaster would've done for her carreer if she stayed on it, but I do remember Emilie saying something about having Visa troubles and not being able to work for a while after being kicked off Roswell.

I agree completely. They made her seem like a 5th wheel most of the time, to the point where I think she was set up to fail.

Beastmaster was just the opposite - she was the young, precocious darling of the cast, all the fans adored her (we know what a lot of Roswell fans thought of her), and the few critics that reviewed Beastmaster all loved her as well, giving her rave reviews (unlike Roswell). I liked the one BM critic who said "she's going to be a hard act to follow", when she left.

But at the time she left BM it seemed like a smart move to go to Roswell - it was going to be a full time role instead of part-time like BM, and she would be close to the film scene in LA, where she might get REAL lucky. Some times things just don't work out.

Lost gets a lot of viewers, but I'm not happy with her role there either. I hope she moves on to something else soon.

so true. The writers never really saw her as anything but the girl who was supposed to screw up Max & Liz. That's all she was to them and I don't feel like the writers ever really wanted Tess to come along in the first place. They were just forced to put her there so they gave her the least to do.

awww I just love Beastmaster even more now. See, that show had awsome fans for knowing what a jem Emilie is. And I think her talents helped Roswell, but most people couldn't see that

and yea, I hope when Lost ends, she's actually on a show or in a movie that treats her more than just background decoration

My friend went this year, and she said she got to see Emilie (no she wasn't looking for me or anything ) and said she was so sweet. Coachella is a music festival every year. It takes place this year in Palm Springs/Palm Desert three nights in a row fri, sat and sun, I hope there are more pictures, I'm sure there will be.

They actually show BeastMaster over here on a channel called ZoneHorror or something, I watched an episode but there was no Emilie in it it's nice to know that some Emilie fans had been gained from BeastMaster especially compared to the Tess haters who hated Emilie.

DivaDuck-those pictures are great- I love her outfit, I'm not too sure on the shoes but I love the dress- it's very summery!

It's funny, I was actually wondering if she was going to be at that. I'm glad she was. Any reason the tag is still on her outfit? Maybe she's at someplace trying it on. It's cute, no matter what.

Yeah, I like the dress too, but I am not a fan of those shoes, at all. :/

I just hope there are more than two pics of her, but I'm not going to complain..too much haha. I like it too, I have no clue why that tag is still on her in that one pic, she looks like she is in a hallway or behind the set of a band that just played, the floor is kinda...gross lol.

The tag! How embarrassing. It looks Macy's-ish.

I hope a few more pictures make it out. She looks great.

It's apparently from DKNY Jeans in the Coachella house, so yeah I think she was shopping/trying on, which is why the tag is there. I really hope there are more pictures of her, too, but I think they probably would have surfaced by now? No telling though, some of these things come in a few days later. Here's hoping!
