same here. I'm going to keep an open mind and ship Claire with everyone. so if Claire doesn't end up with someone I won't be too pissy.

I dislike shipper names in general because most of the times they are just ridiculous. I hope they're not as much shipper names coming up for Lost as we had for Roswell.

oh yea. Roswell had shipper names for couples like Sean & Michael. They had like one scene together.

Blaire is a cute name. I don't usually like shipper names that come from character names. I think they're unoriginal. I like shipper names that actually have a meaning behind them.

I prefer combo shipper names. I makes it easier for an outsider to just read the name and know who it is about.

So, lets combo:

CC for Charlie/Claire
Blaire for Boone/Charlie

Claite for Claire/Kate? Or mabye Kare?
Curley/Curly for Claire/Hurley?

I get stuck by S&C and J&C ;D (for anybody who watches General Hospital)

i don´t like compo shipper names much, nothing special. but i would vote for Kare, because it has nearly a meaning since Kate cares for Claire and Curley for Claire and Hurley. that sound soo cute!

This is probably the wrong place for this topic, but I put it here b/c I so totally agree with the thread title!

Someone help a total newbie with some Roswell questions.

Watched my first ever eps this week on Sci-Fi, you know, the 3 min segments btw the 10,000 commercials.

From what I have gathered from this site and my other attempts at ongoing EdR education, is it really possible that alot of people (undoubtably VERY young girls) came away from Roswell actively hating upon the character of Tess and EdR personally? I find that scary and hard to believe. Because after just 2 eps, it was clear to me that Tess was the best and the only thing worth watching on that dismal show.

Did some people REALLY root for that duller-than-dirt, dishwater limp, totally boring weiner Liz and hate Tess for rocking her snoozefest world? I know these kids are young, but that Liz actress may be the single most drab and uninteresting character in the history of TV! Nothing Tess could have done to her could have been undeserved; I wanted to stick firey hot pokers in her eyes by the end of the first ep!

To say Tess comes across as a total breathe of fresh air would be a huge understatement. And yes, EdR also seems/was very young, and not nearly as relaxed as she is as Claire. Also, she seems to spend an inordinate effort surpressing her natural accent. (What an odd choice to make her do that - where is it written that aliens shall have only an American Midwestern accent?)

Anyways, will continue to check out Roswell reruns when I should be working, but only for the only character who turns out to be alive - Tess. Let me know if I got the concept wrong.

when Tess first came on there was a whole war on the boards of people who hated Tess/EdR and people who liked her. FF back then was a crazy place. There's still people who have an irational hatred for her.

To me Tess was the most interesting character and complex. She brought an interesting element to the show that it was lacking before she came.

it's good to hear that you liked the character when first seeing the show & didn't completely go crazy with hate.
