Hmm, if it's Claire I will be quite naffed off. But then again, we barely see her on screen anyway so it probably won't make a difference.

I am hoping it is Rose, but it does sound like Claire. It's just she finally has a storyline and we won't know more about it till Season 6?
Why does it always have to be the women anyways? why couldn't that be a man who is missing till season 6.

I will wait until something official comes out though.

Or is she totally free to do more movies with Johnny Depp?
I hope so. She can work with him all the time and I'd be happy. They can be the new movie BFFs like Ben Stiller & Owen Wilson.

I hope the person they're talking about it Jin. He rocks and everything, but the male to female ratio on the show is ridiculous.

That is a great scene where Jack found out about Claire. But I knew when he found out, it would be a good scene, I think Matthew Fox can pull it off.

And here I was worrying we might not see her until next January. We're going to have to wait an entire season! I can't say I'm surprised at this latest development at all. <sigh>

A job as a series regular on a new show is probably off the table because it looks like Lost desperately wants her back at a later date!?
I want to know the specifics of the holding deal too. If we're not going to see her on Lost, I want to be able to see her elsewhere. I could see them holding her from doing any other TV shows not on ABC but, I hope they don't. Guest-stints would be instant satisfaction compared to movies.

This is so very long. Emilie could have a baby between this and the sixth season!

Nice wording from Kristin, too. "It's a she." Of course it is. When (and if) Claire returns for the last season, she will probably be the only female cast member. Kate will still be the resident Mary Sue - but she probably undergoes a sex change soon.

I had to laugh bitterly during the otherwise great Sun/Daddy Paik scene in the latest episode. "First, I'm going to have my baby. Then, I will use my control over your company to kick your stupid butt!" Because you can't possibly make decisions while pregnant. No way!

Kristin said it's a she, so we can eliminate all the male I guess.

I tried searching for holding deal only thing I could find was Austin Nichols had a holding deal with HBO. He would be on other HBO comedies and dramas.

I believe Lauren Graham used to have such a deal with NBC before it got axed due to the strike. They basically signed her to work for them without having a certain project for her yet. Or is that a "talent deal"? (Not that I'm convinced that Kristin got the exact term 100 % right...)

guest stints are eh. It's like when Emilie did all those guest stints on CSI Miami and The Handler. It was nice for a while but not satisfying.

Hmm it's hard finding info on it, cause I think the Austin Nichols thing was also called a talent deal or something like that.

When Emilie did her last interview she seem to think that her storyline could continue into next season so that's why i wasn't sure it was her. However, I guess things change in a few weeks

Again I guess we just have to wait for the official statement.

Yeah all actors I am sure have been misinformed. She didn't say she was sure, just that "I can't see it not continuing, but I guess who knows. They can always come back to things or break the map, you know."

Technically, Kristin asked if the Claire storyline would continue through seasons 5 and 6 and Emilie answered with the "I can't see it not continuing." I think Emilie was trying to be purposely vague.

Yeah I get that she was. I guess we can say she will be back for next season until we get the official announcement., which I think will be in June at the next Comic Con thingy.
