Next season, I fully expect Charlotte to go from gung-ho, multi-lingual, Dharma-obsessed scientist to little girl lost who just wants to find her mommy and daddy and cries a lot over Dan. The groundwork has already been laid.

It started with TV Guide reporting rumours of a new contract. EOnline later reported "no regular for S5, back as regular for S6". It sounded like she wouldn't appear at all but they have backpedaled since then to say "we may still see her, but less". EOnline is our only source so far. TV Guide never mentioned it again AFAIK.

I love, love the idea of Claire knowing all the island's secrets.

I think it's also possible that poor Sawyer gets saddled with Kate, and they end up away from the island to prove themselves worthy of "real life" since both characters have really screwed up in the past and have had their best moments on the island. Jack sacrifices his dreams of a normal mainland life, becomes a man of faith and stays on the island to protect Claire and Aaron.

Sadly, I have the feeling that whether certain characters live or die and what becomes of Aaron really depends on how they want the love triangle to end. Which sucks. He's not a trophy or a consolation prize or proof that one side of the triangle is meant to be or something.

I'm not feeling Charlotte/Dan. I feel like their relationship is forced and not well developed.

Aaron is too cool to be stuck in the triangle from hell. He should kill them all (except Sawyer).
The writers need to stop caring about the triangle.

But she's a girl! She must have a romance plot! Or babies! Or fertility issues!

I expect the love triangle to end in a way that makes both guys look good. So I guess the one Kate is dating that particular week will sacrifice himself and she will end up with the other.

Another scenario I can think of is that Aaron is supposed to become the new island leader or the new Jacob. It has to be a Shepard, so Jack selflessly takes his place so that Aaron can leave again with Kate. She's devastated but will be consoled by Sawyer. Claire sits in the cabin wondering whether it wasn't such a good idea to ask Locke not to tell anyone about her.

I do, too. When I was really into Heroes she had some 'spoilers' that were SO misleading. :| Made me very displeased.

But however, any hope that we'll see more of Claire in S5 is good news for me. LET CLAIRE FINALLY KICK SOME ASS. Short but mighty.
