Now I'm thinking Desmond's visions are wrong. Which really pisses me off because he basically told Charlie that Claire won't get rescued unless he dies. So he dies for Claire and what? The boat's not Penny's??? Sheesh, no wonder I don't like him.

I hear that Conan O'Brien and Jay Leno crossed the picket lines so that their non-writing staff could still have a job.

We don't really know whether or not the vision Des saw is in the immediate future or something that happens at the end of the series. I like Des so I won't jump to conclusions that he made Charlie die for nothing. Who knows, maybe all this "it's not Penny's boat" drama leads to a rescue that doesn't spell doom.

Well, I don't think Desmond did it on purpose or anything... hey, if he saw Claire getting on a helicopter, what are you going to do?

But I do hope Claire will be on Team Locke and will stay on the island with Sawyer and Desmond

No, I don't think Desmond did it on purpose but can you imagine? All this time and these visions and they dont amount to anything but someone's death? So who is he going to see die next?

In any case, the writer's strike works in Lost's favour, there will be reruns of shows and they will be the only show with new episodes.

Desmond's other visions would've came true if not for his interference. So when he sees Claire getting on a helicopter what other choice does he have but to believe it? He didn't know Penny's boat wasn't the one looking for them, so for all he knew it was Penny rescuing all the Losties.

No he didn't say that. He told Charlie he is going to die, like all the times, he just kept saving him. Charlie was meant to die on that island, you can't save him all the time. He told Charlie his vision, of seeing Claire and Aaron go on a helicopter, we don't know when that is. Charlie chose to die being a hero. We don't know if what Desmond saw was the immediate future.

On the other hand Desmond could be evil also

However, I doubt it.

Desmond said that of Charlie didn't die this time that Claire and Aaron would not get on the helicopter, he died for Claire.

I don't think the vision was wrong, but I do think something was iffy about it, it was the only vision we never got to see.

Claire and Aaron never get off the island, there are spoilers on who gets off the island and she wasn't one of them, so I think it either means that Claire is meant to get off by helicopter at another time, or the vision was seen wrong.

I swear, if the writers go the "evil out of nowhere" route I will kick my TV and never watch Lost again.

It certainly is interesting that we never got to see Des' vision.

Whatever the reason Charlie died, we all knew he was not leaving that island alive, so I won't blame it on Desmond. Some people will die on that island. If he had made it off the island, I would think it was crap.

Honestly, I think no one is safe on that island except Claire, Jack and Kate. I don't blame Desmond, I don't think he killed him, but I dont think it would be crap if he lived, well, then, but now? I would die of shock if something else happened. And maybe smile..A LOT.
