I totally disagree. Probably because I know what it is like for a guy to be "clingy", I had a boyfriend who was clingy and he was no way like Charlie. I would appreciate Charlie's protectiveness more than what my ex used to do to me! Besides, being on an island when everyone is backstabbing each other and sometimes getting each other killed....I would be abit more protective as well. As long wasn't completely controlling her like Jin did with Sun in terms of who she should speak to, what she should wear, she should cover herself up and shouldn't help other people etc etc etc.

Plus you know...I want this board to gain more people to post...so we don't have to worry about post counts and alot of Claire fans are Charlie/Claire fans.

but don't you think Claire should be able to protect herself rather than needing Charlie to do it? Granted, the minute she was alone she almost drowned, but I just feel the way the writers deal with Claire it's as if she's helpless without Charlie.

Sorry, I just can't help it that I'm not a CC fan. That I prefer them as characters that aren't dealing with romance.

She's got a baby to look after. Someone has to watch her back when she's watching Aaron's. It's just a matter of watching each other's backs that's all. She isn't helpless, but she does come across as being naive about things sometimes. It's just the way her character is, it's not a bad things but it does get you into bad situations sometimes.

I just like him a whole lot more when he's not up Claire's butt.
True, true. Although I loved C/C and Charlie, I agree that he did need to loosen up his obsession a bit, whereas Claire needed to loosen up her feelings towards Charlie. I remember in Fire + Water detesting Claire for a while

I'll still watch but it wont be the same in my opinion, though I guess it's not suppsoe to be. I know a lot of fans who are losing interest and not because of Charlie being offed, but because it's dragging them along with nothing to show for it, in their opinion anyway. I don't think it's the season for Claire either, but I do think she'll be in it more, or I'm hoping?
I'm losing interest because it's becoming far too unreal and they're neglecting other characters *cough-Claire-Sun-Jin-Cough* and replacing them with other characters *cough-Juliet-Naomi-Nikki/Paolo dude-Cough*. Why show Claire when they can show some unknown who is apparently called Nikki

It annoyed me in the Last Ep of S3 when Charlie's just there I'm going somewhere with Desmond and Claire's just like "Ok, but be careful", despite everything she said about never giving up on him a few episodes previously in Par Avion. Stupid Writers

Claire is certainly intense just like her brother. I can't remember the ep clearly...was that the one where she believed Charlie was kidnapping her son? I can understand being mad at him. She hardly knew him yet he was taking her son.

I don't think Desmond realised that Charlie was also living in that tent with her, so it was both of theirs, and he didn't trust him, a newcomer among them and all.

Claire is a complex character, yeah, she can look out for herself, if she's on the island with other people, but she was abducted had things happen to her, and the fear that she showed to Charlie afterward I think intensified Charlie's want to watch out for her, as he promised nothing bad would ever happen to her again, also..she almost drowned, so even though Claire can do things on her own, she had her share of using Charlie as a baby sitter as well at times. I think she took advantage of his need to protect her, they both are not perfect. You don't have to be a shipper of CC to see every aspect of each character, which I try and do.

well that's for sure.

But who wouldn't take advantage of a guy who is willing to do anything and everything?
