It was nice to see how Sawyer got out of jail early by conning his fellow jail person. I am sorry no matter what the others do I hate them and they all need to die. I figured they didn't do anything to Sawyer cause they wern't even sure where to stab him with the needle!! The dude was like you need to do it here, remember like how we saw it on tv, lol. I am like what the hell?

Henry might be dying, i dont' care he needs to. The others are taking away time from our group. Now I don't know if I believe Kate, when she said the three words I thought she only did it so the guys would leave Sawyer but she could still mean it.

I figured I wouldn't have seen much of Claire cause it was concentrated on Sawyer but I loved her scene with Desmond, interesting how he was watching her and offering to help. See this is why I hate Charlie, like what are you doing. A guy can't talk to Claire!!? He is like he can fix the roof, I am like no you can't you don't know how to do anything. I want more Claire/Desmond scene, it was really interesting.

Next week looks great.

what I said on two other threads:

Quote:
Monique - I agreed with everything you said. Especially about Desmond/Claire/Charlie. I really liked how Claire got a scene with someone other than Charlie and then the stalking hobbit has to come and act all possessive

I love Sawyer. I always love his flashback eps. I just knew the others didn't put anything in him. He should've escaped with Kate.

I'm also glad that the ep wasn't flashback heavy. I like eps that concentrate more on island life
and

Quote:
I LOVE Claire/Desmond but then the silly hobbit had to come and act possessive. WTF? If I could talk to Claire I'd tell her to run away from Charlie and go to Des' tent.

I am anxious to see Emilie and Josh too but they aren't going to get any scenes until Sawyer is rescued so we might not see them this season

oh I meant Josh as in her husband (I should've specified) but seeing her act with Holloway is ideal. They are like best buds off set so why shouldn't they have scenes?

I am and always will be a Claire/Charlie fan. They are just too cute together I expect a lot more from them, and as characters seperatly, Charlie is just young (or seems to come off that way) like Claire, and they don't really know what they are doing, I just think ever since she was taken, he's has that guilt for not apparently following up on his promise to never lettting anything bad happen to her, so he tries so hard, too hard. But I did love the way Desmond saved Claire tonight, and Charlie face, for feeling guilty for that too. Ugh Sawyer is always amazing, how I love thee.

Oh her husband. Umm I not really sure I want them to act together, they can try it once, but like Sarah Michelle Gellar says, people aren't really too interested in seeing a husband and wife playing love interest with one another. If Emilie and Josh do what Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones did in Traffic then I guess it could work.

good thing is no one except her fans know their married so they can get away with it

I just feel like Claire, while not being physically abused by Charlie is in an abusive relationship because of the fact that he's always up her bum.

Warning for ranty frustration up ahead:

I don't know whether to laugh or cry over how pathetically true this is.

I have to admit I'm getting confused on how to react. Independently of Emilie de Ravin, I love this show. Without her, I'd still be watching it as religiously as I do now. But I am getting frustrated that one of my favorite actresses, who is supposedly a regular cast member on this show, is barely on and is getting her scenes cut left and right. It's kinda putting me off Lost, against my will.

I'm still holding out hope that those cut scenes will show up on-air down the line (if not before the break) because what a freakin' waste of Rodrigo Santoro and whatshername new cast member. Why bother cast them?

And if they don't know what to do with the Claire character, I'd rather they kill her, disappear her, whatever her so I could actually see Emilie in something else.

That said... Claire and Desmond? I like it.

I can understand why Charlie was abit protective over Claire and Aaron when it came to Desmond. Because honestly, who is he? No one really knows. Hurley always trust everyone, he was even nice to Ethan but look how Ethan turned out to be. The problem is, there is no trust on the island and there is no reason there should be, everyone has been betraying everyone left, right and center. Considering that Claire AND Aaron have been in danger before, wouldn't you, as someone who cared about her and the baby, be jumpy too?

The way I see everyone's reaction to each other is how I see the character being played out. Claire will always be the good natured, friendly, welcoming everyone sort of gal. She isn't Kate. She is still naive about alot of things. While Charlie has seen the darker side of people including himself, so has Kate, so has Sawyer, Jack, Locke, Eko and Sayid. Sawyer is always going to be protecting himself with anger. Jack will always be protecting him and others with his own need to protect them. Kate is always going to be adventurous and not listening to people. And so on. Just like Charlie...the way he is, especially when in the back of his mind, Aaron is still in danger (from his dreams), is always going to be cautious about new people in their group.

I did enjoy Sawyer's episode though and LOVED the picture of his daughter. Wow, beautiful eyes on that girl! I think it's cruel that they chained Jack to the table with the dead girl. I mean, how sick is that? The guy tried his best and they reward him with chaining him there. I hope it's Henry that needs the surgery. Would love to see Jack kill him there on the operating table.

Jazz - I would "accidentally" kill Henry too. God, I hppe that happens

Val - big word to everything you said.
I like Lost, but I have to say if not for Emilie, I would not have watched the show in the first place. If they killed her off, I'd still watch cause honestly, it's like she's not even on the damn show.

I don't know if Emilie is as frustrates as I am, but she should be. She could be in movies right now or a show that actually uses her talents. I just hate that she is always ignored *cough*Roswell*cough*

and there really is not point in adding new characters. There's already too many that are underdeveloped and need their stories finished. The writers put so much on their plate and I honestly don't care to see their flashbacks or get attached to them.

ya'll have all said exactly how i feel about emilie's character and the current direction of the show...i've heard the others and their agenda is finally revealed in the nov 8th epi before the hiatus so i'm hopeful we can move along from there...wasn't this supposed to be the season of love or something? LOL...

It seems like some people think that because Emilie is on LOST that she can't be in other movies, but she did two movies while still filming for LOST. Some of it was filmed while on break, but from what I read Emilie likes not being on set constintlywhen it comes to LOST that she remembers getting burnt out and plus this gives her time to do other things. As much as I would LOVE to see her do more movies, (and hope that's soon) this show has given her a lot of notice besides that 'one chick from Roswell' I just hope sometime soon she gets another role along with LOST. And I'm interested to see a photoshoot with her new bangs.

yea, I don't see much love going on. maybe that will happen after the hiatus? anyway, I hope the Nov 8th reveal of the others' motives and why they kidnapped K/J/S is true

you're right divaduck. I am glad Lost has given Emilie exposure and she has mentioned liking the fact that she gets breaks, but as a fan I'm selfish and want to see her on screen a lot. I guess since all these movies are coming out with young actresses starring I would like to see Emilie land one of those movie roles.

and I agree about seeing a new photoshoot with her bangs

Brick and Santa's Slay were filmed before she was cast on Lost. Hills was during a summer break and I believe that CSI:Miami stint was before she was upped from a recurring to a regular.

From what I've gathered, TV shows don't allow their cast members to do film roles in the middle of the TV filming season.

Of course, that's not to say that once she's killed off she'd be free to film whatever she wants. Thanks to her contract, Maggie Grace had to sit out from doing anything until the second season was done. I assume Emilie's contact is just like that.

Yup. I know all of this probably suits a homebody like Emilie just fine but yeah...

The above is exactly why I'm frustrated with the situation. Maybe big things will come for Claire after the break, I dunno, but right now, I'm a bit pessimistic.

I'm so frustrated with this show. If I ever started to rant about it, I'd never be able to stop. Just two things:

I would love for Lost to be a ratings-challenged little cult show on a tight budget. How many actors are on Lost's payroll simply because they can afford them - and not because they truly need them? Do they really think I care about new character #23's long lost twin brother's employer's one-time minor car accident of 2003 or whatever is the "cool thing of the week"? No, I don't.

They cannot write for female characters. They seem to only think of them as eye-candy or the damsel in distress or a trophy. "I need ma honour for ma Penny!!!!" Yeah, right.

Regarding the latest spoilery speculation,

Spoiler:
I'm curious as to how the critics and general audience will react to yet another pointless death. If it is - as speculated - indeed Mr. Eko, I know I will be pissed.

Actually Charlie is just being jealous again, if it was Hurley, I still believe he would have acted the way he did. Desmond did the lightning thing to protect Claire in a way cause I believe it would have gone where she was or close to it.

As for Emilie, she did say she liked that she doesn't have to film all the time. I like that she is down to earth and doesn't take things for granted. She loves her job regardless of it being a small role or a big role.

I just want more of Claire, but i will be patient, but if I start seeing more of the new chick that Claire I won't be too happy.

I doubt it because Hurley has offered before and Charlie did nothing. So have Jack and others. He has done nothing. It's only those he doesn't trust like Locke who has his own problems to deal with. And now Desmond. Sometimes Sawyer because you never know when he's conning you!

I thought Emilie liked not having to film all the time. Also, most, if not all, live in Hawaii and available at a moment's notice to film. Emilie goes back to LA when she's not filming. It's not like if they need another character in there, she can be there instantly.
