I do wonder if, in canon, Belle has heard Aurora's story. I can't remember if Phillip or Mulan ever mentioned her to Belle.

Mulan hadn't met Aurora yet when she had her adventure with Belle. Philip just said he was cursed by Maleficent to keep him away from his love.
