I wish Belle's story was spread out over a few episodes. In next week's episode she could've met Rumple and been taken, and then later we could see her growing to sympathise with him, and then whatever comes next.

Sort of, he was tricked into it. The Dark One, posed as a beggar, told him he needed to kill the Dark One, that it was the only way to save his son. He wanted Rumpel to kill him.

Same, but unfortunately, she's a guest star. The majority of the guest stars stories are usually told in the first episode they appear in(Cinderella, Hansel/Gretal).

I wonder if in the end, Rumple will trick someone into daggering him. I hope not.

taragenie 02-06-2012 10:56 AM

I think the Evil Queen is going to want his dagger and that's why she has an interest in Belle.

LilMouse 02-06-2012 11:35 AM

oh right, didn't the EQ ask about a dagger in one of the early episodes?

Don't worry about Belle being killed off.

I recently chatted with a very nice person who knows someone who gives her the 441 on Emilie and other celebs, and they said they do NOT kill Belle off. This person is reliable. There's a good possibility she will be back, they're just waiting on the feedback from the episode.
I have to follow up this statement I made. I don't like keeping info from Emilie fans so I'm sharing everything I know.

The person I chatted with contacted me again and said her source wasn't able to give her any new info, only that there's a slight chance Emilie wont be back. She said Belle won't die, but another source is telling her there's a chance, but she thinks they're just messing with her because she's a huge Emilie fan.

To sum it up...her 1st source who she trusts more, is telling her Belle won't die, but depending on the feedback to the episode, there's a slight chance Belle won't be back.
Her 2nd source...who she thinks might be messing with her, says there's a chance Belle dies.

This person I'm talking to is reliable, she's the one who a couple months back was telling everyone that Emilie got back together with Josh, and nobody believed her(including me). She's actually really nice and I feel bad for the crap she got.

Anyway, she still says from what she gathers, Belle doesn't die.

This is just so confusing and I want to know what the hell happens to Belle already.

LilMouse 02-06-2012 05:17 PM

Less than a week away and we'll know for sure. I do hope the episode does well, gets good feedback so the writers bring Belle back.

Jazz 02-07-2012 09:10 AM

Well, these episodes are written in advance and again, Belle could just be a notch on Rumple's story and then it passes onto the next story in the whole scheme of things, who knows? Every character interacts with Rumple, but the ones who lightly interacts with him are the ones in Storybrooke right now. Anyone heavily involved with him are not (case in point - his son). The EQ touched on his life in the FL but not a major player in his life there. She is more so in Storybrooke.

LilMouse 02-07-2012 09:45 AM

I feel like for someone who plays a big part in Rumple's life --- I mean, the villain was in love -- she needs to come back somewhere down the line along with his son.

Thanks for letting us know. I'm just going to try to be positive about this. :goof:

I think so too. What if Belle figured it out and buried the dagger somewhere in the woods to hide it from the EQ? And that’s why Mr. Gold is out in the woods with a shovel, he’s looking for it before anyone else finds it?

The Nurse in the cast list from the press release is still puzzling me so I came up with this: The EQ does something to Belle like Glory did to Tara on Buffy, scrambling her mind and making her unable to function on her own and she is still that way in Storybrooke.
Mr. Gold has her hidden away somewhere and the Nurse is there to take care of her. This is of course very illegal for him to do since he’s not her next of kin so he doesn't want Moe or anyone to know where she is so they can't take her away from him.

Where are those Sneak Peeks? What's taking them so long? I neeeeeeeeeeeeeed them. :( ;)

Yeah they might just be using her as a plot device to show why Rumpel is the way he is. Losing his son and getting his heart broken from losing Belle will he explain how he got to this point.

Other the other hand, I'm trying to stay positive. If she doesn't die, I don't see how they couldn't bring her back. If they do, I don't think it'd be until season 2, but they'd have to bring her back eventually.

New interview with Jane Espenson, who wrote Skin Deep. Nothing big, but I just thought I'd post it since we haven't gotten anything new in a while

Quote:

With no Once Upon a Time airing this week, anticipation is high for next week’s February Sweeps episode “Skin Deep.” According to ABC’s press release, Mr. Gold (Robert Carlyle) finds that his house has been robbed and he’s out of a bit of vigilante justice. Valentine’s Day is celebrated with a ladies’ night out by Mary Margaret (Ginnifer Goodwin), Ruby (Meghan Ory, also playing Red), and Ashley (Jessy Schram, who is also Cinderella).

Back in the fairy tale land, Belle (of Beauty and the Beast fame, played by Lost’s Emilie de Ravin) makes a deal to save her village from the terrors of the Ogre war. And, of course, whenever there are deals to be made, it’s a pretty fair bet that Rumpelstiltskin isn’t too far away.
The episode was penned by Once Upon a Time writer/producer Jane Espenson, who wrote last November’s “Still, Small Voice” and the recently aired “Desperate Souls,” another episode diving into Rumple’s backstory. Jane told me that the episode “tackles a classic story that we haven't touched on before, crossing that story with Rumplestiltskin in an unexpected way. And it will reveal a little something about Gold in Storybrooke — just how much does he know?”

Source.
About the bolded part...I think he remembers Belle's dad.
Maybe in FT land, Maurice was the reason Rumpel/Belle didn't end up together. Maybe he was so desperate to get his daughter back that he ran to the Evil Queen for help?

That would explain why Mr. Gold is so pissed off at Maurice in Storybrooke.

I forgot about the nurse! Gives me hope Belle is alive, just in a coma or she's just gone mad.

I don't want Belle to be the woman in the fridge. What a waste of a character if that's the case :(

'Once Upon a Time': Emilie de Ravin on the Belle-Rumpelstiltskin relationship

Quote:

"Lost" alum Emilie de Ravin is coming to "Once Upon a Time" Sunday (Feb. 12) as Belle, the fairy tale princess who sacrifices her freedom to save her friends and family in the ogre war. Just how does she do that? By becoming the captive of Rumpelstiltskin.

"[Belle] has always wanted to be the brave one and go out into the world and do something with her life and she has the chance to," says de Ravin. "She has a chance to save her family and her friends by going to live with Mr. Stiltskin."

Rumpelstiltskin is the "beast" role in the fairy tale of "Beauty and the Beast," which has us wondering if the relationship between Belle and Rumpel is the same as in the fairy tale - is there love there?

"There's a love," says De Ravin. "Not the same as where the fairy tale goes, but there's actually a really beautiful progression in their relationship ... he finds himself smiling and laughing at things for the first time in a very long time."

"This friendship definitely turns into more than that," De Ravin continues. "But not in the same way as the animation. In maybe more of an adult reality sense, the way things don't always work out in the real world."
