Belle on OUAT #2 - Bonjour! Good day! Emilie's ep airs tonight!

Continue. :)

LilMouse 01-31-2012 12:19 PM

ah, the title was used.

Jazz 01-31-2012 12:35 PM

Well, we were over the posting limit and figured I would just start it. :)

taragenie 01-31-2012 01:02 PM

I'm just going to bring this gif LilMouse posted in the last thread over here. Pretty up the new thread. The colors in this scene are gorgeous.

---

So any theories to why she might not show up in Storybrooke(besides being dead)? I mean, there's a chance that maybe she'll pop up at the end up the episode, but I'm doubting it.

Everyone who was alive in the Fairytale world when the curse happened was transferred to Storybrooke. Where could she be?

LilMouse 01-31-2012 01:08 PM

I'm ready for icons of her episode to be made.
Too pretty not to icon.

My theory is that Rumple has Belle locked up somewhere and he goes to this secret hiding place everynight and that's why we haven't seen her in SB.

Jazz 01-31-2012 01:08 PM

Everyone knows everyone in Storybrooke and as Henry said, no strangers comes to Storybrooke. So I'm intrigued on the new stranger that arrived. :)

Some comments about Skin Deep from Jane Espenson who wrote the Episode:
Quote:

What else can you tease about what's to come this season on Once Upon a Time?
A: Oh, so much good stuff! Look to see Belle, in our take on Beauty and the Beast, which I wrote and am so proud of. And you might see a little Hansel and a bit of Gretel. And we will keep coming back to Snow White and Charming – their story has so many twists and turns, you’re going to want to watch for that. Will true love find a way? Actually, that’s kind of a theme for me right now – Husbands and Once – both are about the Triumph of True Love. Awww!

Oh, I like the preview they made for my episode -- watch in two weeks to see Robert Carlyle as The Beast. There's kissing in it!

@JaneEspenson As much as I love your work, I'm not yet sold on mixing Rumple and Beast. Hoping Robert sells it.

@JaneEspenson ok, I'm confused - Rumplesiltskin is also the Beastly prince? That soesn't seem right somehow...??

@Shadesiren Or is it so wrong that it's extra right?

I love these gifs! Thanks for the tweets fg22.

DetectiveSaunders 01-31-2012 08:37 PM

TFTNT!

Bonjour is one word, not two. ;) French fan knows!

Love the gifs! so excited for Emilie! :yay:

taragenie 01-31-2012 10:13 PM

Those gifs! I want all the princesses to be BFFs. :sigh:

fg22, thank you so much for always bringing info over here, I really appreciate it.

Jane Espenson is very active on twitter and reads every tweet @ her. I just tweeted her this:

@JaneEspenson Please tell me Belle will be in more than 1 episode! She's my fav & I luv Emilie. Already shipping RumpBelle. Hot promo!

Just wanted to send her something positive because some people are complaining to her about the beast. She sounds very excited about this episode! :D

Jakls 01-31-2012 11:59 PM

That's a good idea taragenie, I will do that too.

I hope they are all friends too.

Jazz 02-01-2012 07:29 AM

 Love the gifs! :) I love that SW, Red and Cinderella are friends in Storybrooke. Kind of cute, they haven't connected in the FL yet.

Love the friendship between Mary and Emma though...even though they are truly Mother-Daughter. :)

That was a good idea to tweet her something positive. I want her to know people like Emilie, and I wouldn't want her to start feeling bad about an episode she's proud of.

Tftnt and all the new stuff everyone brought over! :flowers:

I'm already in love with the Rumpel/Belle ship too. OMG, I shipped Claire/MIB too! haha, I'm glad I'm not the only creeper.
:D You should join me on the Claire UC/CC thread then. ;) Team creeper ftw! :goof:
Is it still too early for a Rumpel/Belle ship thread? I'm just over here staring at that almost kiss gif over and over again.

Don't worry about Belle being killed off.

I recently chatted with a very nice person who knows someone who gives her the 441 on Emilie and other celebs, and they said they do NOT kill Belle off. This person is reliable. There's a good possibility she will be back, they're just waiting on the feedback from the episode.
:pinkie: Squeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Yeah new pictures! :sigh:
1x12 - Skin Deep - 005 - Emilie de Ravin Gallery
I love this pictures more than I can say. I'm so looking forward to that whole scene.

Did anyone notice that the Storybrooke Library is all boarded up? Storybrooke Free Public Library - Once Upon a Time Wiki
Maybe when Belle shows up in Town (I’m staying positive here ;) ) she can open it up again. :D

btw, could we add a link to the first thread to the OP? :)

Lucy Pearl 02-02-2012 01:14 PM

I'm in heaven with all these pictures! God Emilie looks so gorgeous as Belle.

I saw this on twitter. TV Guide Magazine apparently has a small article about the Belle episode. This person didn't take a shot of the article but the picture (we've seen before) has a small Emilie blurb on it.

I'm curious if the article has more from Emilie.

The article talks about Emilie being into Hitchcock movies when she was young. She wasn't a Disney watcher, so --- I'll have to reread the article --- but after getting the part of Belle is when she watched B&TB for the first time.

Girl had a weird childhood to not watch any Disney movies IMO.

taragenie 02-02-2012 02:47 PM

So I have a feeling the Evil Queen is the reason Belle and Rumpel don't get their happy ending. That bitch.

It's not too early for me! :sigh:

Yeah I've watched that gif over and over, lol. Rump is leaning in towards the kiss, but at the end it looks like he's slightly turning his head away. We better get at least 1 kiss!

Wow, I find that so strange. Everyone female I've ever met IRL or online, has seen all the Disney classics. Most girls grow up watching them.

Did Emilie say anything else about her episode?

LilMouse 02-02-2012 05:41 PM

This is what the Taming the Beast article says

Quote:

Growing up in Australia in the 1980s, young Emilie de Ravin's interests veered towards darker offerings than the wide-eyed wonders of Disney animation. "I was a child who watched Hitchcock and murder-mystery documentaries," reveals the actress, best known for playing Lost's Claire. But as soon as she wrapped her scenes as the book-loving Belle for this week's episode of Once Upon a Time, the actress wasted no time slipping in a DVD of the Disney classic "Beauty and the Beast." "It's very beautiful," she says of the 1991 film just released in 3D. "Belle's gorgeous gold and blue outfits as well as the shiny dark hair were definitely influences for [Once's] costume and hair departments. They made me a beautiful wig." Joining Belle in her adventure, as in the film, are father Maurice, the brutish Gaston and, of course, the Beast, whose identity if being kept tightly under wraps. "Although I have a really fun scene with the Evil Queen, most of my scenes are with the Beast," reports the real-life beauty, now 30. "It's all very sweet. There's a lot of trepidation as to how he's going to act around her, but after a few days, he starts becoming bemused as how relaxed she becomes." True to the tale as old as time, de Ravin says Belle "starts to bring out some joy in him he hasn't experienced. Even something small, like being touched on the arm, is huge for him." Why so secretive about the Beast's origins? "Remember how on Lost we couldn't talk about anything?" de Ravin recalls. "Well, there's a few of those this time, too."

t4p Lilmouse.

The episode sounds like it's going to be so sweet. Aww.

Well....until the end anyway.

I'm surprised she waited until after she filmed the episode to watch the movie.

LilMouse 02-02-2012 06:12 PM

Maybe she didn't want to copy the movie with her performance? Even though it's animated maybe she felt she'd still accidentally borrow aspects of the movie and she wanted it to be completely her own?

Jazz 02-03-2012 07:21 AM

Possible that she didn't watch Disney movie because she was really into dance. Who knows. Maybe her parents just didn't want her to for some odd reason.

One of my cousin's kids is actually afraid of Disney villians and won't watch those movies even though she's 6 years old, she's terrified of the villians. So every child is abit different

LilMouse 02-03-2012 08:07 AM

I'd say Disney movies are less traumatizing than murder mysteries. She watched things apparently, just chose not to watch Disney.

Salene 02-03-2012 10:24 AM

Thanks for the TvGuide spoiler LilMouse! I need this episode in my life right now! :sigh: :evil_lol:
Wonder when we'll get the sneak peeks

I can kind of understand Emilie, I used to like the Fairytales from my Book much more than the Disney movies when I was a kid because they were darker (my fav was Bluebeard of all things  ) and not as sugary sweet as some Disney movies can be at times. But I still wanted to see them and actually did see them in the cinema when they came out. So I guess that she hasn’t seen them at all is a bit strange.

Tumblr had some fun with the promo pictures, putting them behind a spoiler cut just to be save:

LilMouse 02-03-2012 11:44 AM

I am very curious what's happening in the stills b/c Belle doesn't look happy.

I never saw Bluebeard. What is that one about?
