I remember when I saw that scene, I couldn't go sleep after it, it was so good, I kept thinking about it, and then the next day one of my best friends and I talked and she said the same.

Easily one of the best scenes on the whole show. Not simply because of the acting (I love it, but I think Emilie had even better moments on the show, many of them) but because of the whoe concept. Like having your mirror self call yourself out on all your insecurities? Ouch. And it was visually just so good, loved how they went about the whole scene, the setting and everything, how they gave that little bit of echo to mirror Belle's voice. So good!

And of course it was also a really good character-moment for Belle.

She put up with too much, for too long.....I'm so glad that, by S6, she'd had it. I've had conversations with my Rumbelle pals on Tumblr and I think the consensus is that Belle was rather happy to get the heck out of Dodge.........oops, SB.

She really did put up with a lot of bullcrap for seasons and seasons. It was always a relief when she got to vent and told people where to go.

She put up with too much because they didn't bother to give her screentime (I'll never forget how she apparently dealt with Regina taking her heart offscreen, and there are tons of examples like that) and because all the characters who have personally wronged her (Regina, Hook/Emma, Rumple) are the "cool kids" of the show, and every time Belle stood up for herself some part of the fandom started to scream about it. Like, when she stands up to Regina, Regina fans freak out cause how dare she, after all she married Rumple of all people, when she stands up to Rumple Rumple stans freak out cause "oh, but hey, she hangs out with Hoook", and when she stands up to Hook CS fans scream hypocrite cause again... she married Rumple. Belle had all her beefs with the popular characters, so of course she could never win with this fandom. Whatever she does is frowned upon by a group of people, always, no matter what.
