Welcome to the 8th Appreciation Thread of Buffy and Angelus

Everyone has it. Rarely do we have the luxury to face it, but know this:
it is always waiting and watching for the one
moment in time to emerge. What is it you wonder?
IT is the darkness that resides in us all.
For Buffy, night after night she is forced
to confront this darkness. At times she is triumphant.
At others, she is weak and succumbs to it.
Is it the demons and vampires that she battles
endlessly that bring it out of her you ask?
Yes and no.
For Buffy they are one in the same.
It is not a multitude of the unnatural that
calls it forth in the Slayer. No, my beloved,
it is one demon who forcibly makes Buffy Summers
acknowledge the darkness within. His name you ask?
Angelus.
A more seductive and sinful vampire
you will never encounter, but will secretly long to.
Thus these tales of their unholy, unnatural, and
unbreakable attachments to each other is made possible.

Joyce: Are you threatening her?
Angelus: Please... Why is she doing this to me?

Some of the best Angelus (and Buffy) episodes imo, in no particular order...

Passion:

The ecstasy of grief.

Angelus: Passion. It lies in all of us. Sleeping...waiting... And though unwanted...unbidden...it will stir...open its jaws, and howl. It speaks to us... guides us...Passion rules us all. And we obey. What other choice do we have?

Angelus: Passion is the source of our finest moments: the joy of love...the clarity of hatred...and the ecstasy of grief.

Willow: You're still the only thing he thinks about.

We'd be truly dead.

Angelus: It hurts sometimes more than we can bear. If we could live without passion, maybe we'd know some kind of peace. But we would be hollow. Empty rooms, shuttered and dank...Without passion, we'd be truly dead.

Buffy: I think I'm finally ready.

Becoming:

What's left?

Angelus: No weapons, no friends, no hope. Take all that away and what's left?
Buffy: Me!

Innocence:

Was it good for you too?

Angelus: To kill this girl...you have to love her.

And many, many more episodes and moments, some of which often hard to watch because of how twisted, obsessive and sadistic Angelus is, it's like a slap in our faces, but it's also a reminder of WHY he's such a great villian and character.

We can imagine it being Angelus in bed with Buffy. It's OUR dream.

I've watched it more than a dozen times...

Definitely one of the hottest moments on television. The way their hands meets and the contrast of their bodies on the bed. We should have had more scenes like that

Funny how all of that spuffy sex couldn't even compare to a single dream
