Welcome to the 15th Appreciation Thread of Buffy and Angelus

Everyone has it. Rarely do we have the luxury to face it, but know this:
it is always waiting and watching for the one
moment in time to emerge. What is it you wonder?
IT is the darkness that resides in us all.
For Buffy, night after night she is forced
to confront this darkness. At times she is triumphant.
At others, she is weak and succumbs to it.
Is it the demons and vampires that she battles
endlessly that bring it out of her you ask?
Yes and no.
For Buffy they are one in the same.
It is not a multitude of the unnatural that
calls it forth in the Slayer. No, my beloved,
it is one demon who forcibly makes Buffy Summers
acknowledge the darkness within. His name you ask?
Angelus.
A more seductive and sinful vampire
you will never encounter, but will secretly long to.

Do you actually see B/Aus as a couple?
How far do you believe their relationship could have gone in canon?
When would have been the perfect time for him to show up in BTVS S4-7?

Yes

I think if they'd brought Angelus back in s6 Buffy it would have gotten dark/heavy/ and changed the entire outcome of s7...

Though I do feel that B/Aus could only work in S6. Actually it might have worked in the end of S5 due to Buffy's emotional state.

I agree.. great thread title... I love reading the quotes from the show... I can see the scenes rolling past as I read. I've just watched series 1 - 4.. just starting 5. I reall loved series 2 and 3. Angels transformation into Angelus was fab.. I loved it, and hated it, all at the same time! I havent watched this show since it first aired in Australia 11 years ago, so I'm really into it at the moment... and I can see me rewatching it again (and I havent finished it yet!)

I so wish it had been Angelus in season 6. I've always thought that made more sense than Spike which made no sense. I wouldn't have ended up hating Buffy like I sometimes do.
