Eh, I take BTVS seasons 1-3 over any of Angel. I do love season one ATS quite alot and I loved Wesley's transformation as a character over the years but that wasn't enough for me. I don't know, most of ATS just didn't do it for me like the early BTVS days.

Yeah I do like early Buffy days but if i had to choose overall on the shows i'd take Angel...

I wish I could agree.

There's a lot of things I didn't like in the later seasons of BTVS but the same could be said about ATS.

The early seasons of BTVS outweigh everything else to me.

I think if i only had to choose 1-3 then i'd chose Buffy but for me nothing was good from s4 onwards... and at least in each season of Angel there was something i liked... although very little in s5

It's funny because after season one (and some of season 2) I thought the best of Angel was season 5.

The first 3 seasons of Buffy are incomparable. I guess it's because of how the quality of storylines were so good. The coupling was amazing. Most of my fave couples, actually all of them, weren't together after S3. I can't say the same about the rest of the seasons, since starting from S4 I didn't watch Buffy by heart. I didn't watch a complete season of Buffy, but episodes here and there. Except S5, which I watched most of it's episodes.
I don't know which to choose over the other. It's hard, since I love all 5 seasons of Angel, despite the fact that there were some crappy storylines in the mix. But BTVS' 1st three seasons hold a special place in my heart for sure.

well i like the idea of Buffelia as more than just friends

why i liked clingy buffy in halloween cause she was hanging onto cordy whenever she could

it was just fodder for my imagination

anyway ats 1-3 is by far my favorite i only watched s1-3 of btvs because of cordelia and angel(us), and oz S2 i loved spike and dru also
in ats i loved most of the characters until s5 that is, it was like watching a different show and just was not right without cordelia

ahh but i got a dirty mind and think that smg and cc always looked hot together...don't think i didn't get ideas about the limo ride in homecoming and was very dissappointed cause that scene could have been so much more

but once the thought sticks....ausiello even mentioned buffelia should have happened and the limo ride in homecoming would have been a great oppurtunity for the girls to show each other how they really felt
