I think because they already had Cordy in YW and closed that story it would not have fit if she'd been in NFA too.

ITA. IMO, YW already gave her the closure. I can't see how she would have fit in NFA.

i think she would have fit in with like a dream sequence where she encourages angel before the battle, i honestly don't think buffy belonged in nfa so i was glad she wasn't in it like i heard rumored i mean she was never part of ai or the fg and was a goobbye to ats

She was supposed to be but then she couldn't do it so Joss rewrote it and said he didn't want the finale to be about B/A or that other one

I personally don't feel it was that. I think Joss was thinking about the comics and didn't want the ending of either shows to screw any of that up.
