Same here. Spike in ATS was funny. Whenever he is a sick love puppy or with Buffy, then I can't tolerate watching him.

In S3/S4/S5 there were some things that bugged me but they didn't totally ruin the season for me. I hate the villians in S3 and I'm not a fan of C/A as a couple either, so there was that. In S4 the whole Cordy/Connor and what they did to Cordy. In S5, there was a change in many things but it wasn't the change as much as the presence of Nina, Eve, how they killed off Cordy, Fred, Wesley and Gunn was nearly dying in the finale, plus I hate cliffhangers specially if it's a series finale not a season finale.

I hated how they changed Cordy too! That's was the worst of s4

And I agree how they killed off CC and Fred and Wes and all those extra people in s5 sucked! It should have been like the earlier seasons!

even though I like C/A...what Joss did to Cordy was unforgivable, IMO...she was NOWHERE near that kind of person...even when she was Queen C...least I didn't think so...and having his son sleep with her...? no way

and yup...killing Wes and everyone

Joss may have been good at what he did but no need to do that to us...God!!!

I watch Bones and see Booth than watch BTVS/ATS and see Angel. I've never seen one as the other honestly. It's like Izzie from GA and Iz from Roswell. They never intersect for me.

yeah, I really don't know what the writers were thinking honestly.

Gah, sometimes I like to think about how things would have gone if Angel never was spun off onto his own show and him and Cordy just stayed on BTVS. What to you guys think about that?

)...honestly, I think Cordy wouldn't have changed as much as she did...when she was away from the Scoobies, she was able to be HER, y'know? while in Sunnydale, she was constantly in their shadow...in LA...she grew and changed...as for Angel...I don't think it would have worked being there for him...I almost think he NEEDED the time away from the group...after time, everyone could have learned to be friends but i think because of everything, he may not have felt like he belonged there...but that's JMO

See I'm glad that Angel got his own show mostly because if they had still gone the spuffy and cangel route, it would have been much worse with them all living in the same town.

And B/A needed a break IMO.

ITA. I'm glad he got his own show too. I just wonder sometimes what would happened differently. I'm not so sure that they would have ever fully went down the Spuffy route, well at least to the degree they did. I mean, James only became a regular after Angel left. I'm sure he would have been back but maybe not in that big of a capacity as he was built up to be after Angel left. And I don't think Cangel would have ever have happened. Well it never fully did, but I don't think it would have gone in that direction. Who knows though, lol.

I like to think about the what if's though. Like what if Oz had never left? What if Dawn had never come to Sunnydale? What if Angel had left and Cordy hadn't?

Would the story have been the same just slightly modified or would Joss have gone another route?

It's tough one for me - cuz if he hadn't left Buffy then B/A wouldn't have ended the way it did. It would have been there - maybe not as a couple but there would have been something. But i did like him having a bigger role in Angel..

I feel the same way. That's why part of me is glad they took a break and stepped back from each other.

They needed to live life with out each other on a daily basis and find out how much it sucked. I still believe that after Epiphany Angel should have gone back to Sunnydale however.

That's great. I'm sure I haven't read it and after watching S2 in its entirety I thought that would have been a great place for Angel to go back to Sunnydale. She needed him and he'd made his big break through.
