Destiny. How I love that episode. It was just really well-done and kept me intrigued the entire episode, because there were a few scenes early season 1 where I got bored, but Destiny had an awesome pace throughout.
I felt sorry for poor Michael too. He looked so guilty and his speech about Max being good and him being bad was heartbreaking. *sniff* Why did you guys not like the mommygram? I thought it was okay. I just wasn't too thrilled about them being past royals. I got the hang of it eventually though. I liked Max and Liz in this episode, especially when they were hiding out on some trailer/bus thing and Max tells Liz that his life started when he saved hers. That was a pretty damn good moment between them. But then Max starts talking about her eyes and her lips and her touch and it was just, again, too much... I loved the scene where the aliens start planning to leave Roswell and Maria goes over to Michael and says that she'll stay with them. And Alex and Liz doing the same. It was just wonderful, them sticking together and seeing how far they've come from doubting each other. I felt sorry for Tess though, standing alone with no one to hug... Another moment that I liked was Kyle being shot. Though it caused great pain to Michael to see Max heal him, it was just a brilliant twist and another one of those scenes that kept me on the edge of my seat. "Maybe because I love you too much. Goodbye." *sigh* I don't think a single line from a show has affected me quite as much as that one. __________________

Valenti's little speech to Max after he saves Kyle is one of my favorite Roswell moments ever. "I don't care who you are or what you are. I'll be here for you." William Sadler really is a great actor. Another well-done scene is Max's interrogation of Pierce, where he echoes back Pierce's words to him from his torture. Gives me chills to watch. __________________

Oh yeah, that scene with Max and Pierce, with the bluish light and the projector. That was just well-done. William Sadler truly is an awesome actor. I've always liked his scenes, especially with Kyle and Agent Topolsky.
There are some moments with the young actors that always make me cringe because of not-so-good acting, but I thought they were generally good. I've always been impressed with Katherine Heigl though. And Colin Hanks. Destiny was a really good episode, despite of the mommygram (according to you guys) and the lame ending. But great episode throughout. That particular line of Valenti's, along with "Maybe because I love you too much" and "Maybe if I'm holding onto you, you won't get lost" and "I want you to see me", are the ones that really touched me. I bet there are a lot more, but I can't remember much right now. __________________

"It was you."
I know this is a Candy thread, not a Dreamer one , but honestly, that line has always stayed with me as probably the most romantic thing I've heard. It's Max's delivery, so matter-of-fact as if he's surprised that Liz would even have to ask, as if there was no possible way that he could have let her die. Although "I want you to see me" is a very close runner-up. __________________

Well, we all have our Dreamer sides. And I was very much a Dreamer during the Pilot. My favorite M/L scenes in the Pilot, or even the entire run of Roswell, was their first and second connection scenes, with Sarah Mclachlan's Fear on the background. Those scenes give me goosebumps. ::shudder:: I also liked the last scene of the Pilot, starting from the fake crash to Max and Liz talking. Those scenes were well-done, and I'm glad they didn't change Dave Matthews' "Crash Into Me"
Although, I enjoyed those Max moments, I still think Michael is the more romantic between the two. It's really the efforts that he puts forth to make Maria happy that makes me appreciate him more. __________________

I still love Season 1 Max and Liz. And I'm still a Max fan, even though I think he had some huge issues going on during S2. But Michael's my favorite Roswell guy.
It's hard to compare the two of them and say which is more romantic, because they're both so different. I think Michael's style of "romance" (which I'm sure isn't a word he would use ) is more my style. Michael's solid and dependable. He may not give long pretty speeches or bring Maria flowers, but he'll remember what types of foods she likes and be there to tuck her in when her world is falling apart and she's crying herself to sleep. Michael will make lots of mistakes, but when he realizes it, he'll try to make things right and not make that particular error again (of course, there's always other ones ). He'll be honest. And once he gives his heart, it's for ever. But yeah, I was a total Max/Liz fan during the pilot. I really liked Liz then, especially her list of questions to ask (because that was so something I could imagine myself doing). And the little smile on Max's face when she takes it out and starts questioning him - it's clear that he thinks she's adorable. Max and Liz seem so genuine in that episode, and there isn't the whole alien teen-angst thing going on yet. __________________

I don't like Liz and Max's romance any season now. I find that the Candy romance is more passionate, more intriguing, whereas the Dreamer romance is rather boring because they never do anything but kiss.
Just watching season 1, any time they came on, I found myself so bored, they're so responsible that it gets to me. I'm more a Michael kinda person. As in he and I have the same personality-ish. Some differences, like I'm a chick! But he's more passionate, impulsive, and that's me. And Maria appeals to me because I can see some of my traits, and a similiar background, in her. Liz and Max are just too boring for me. Tahra __________________

Yes, Belit is gone forever. Luckily though I saved most of the stories to a disk so if you desperately want to read a story, PM me and I'll e-mail it to you.

Unfortunately I can't remember what Belit had archived... Any really good candy fics? Any by Nmemosyne or any of the old crowd there? If so, could you send them to me? Sorry to be a hastle, but I loved Nmemosyne works... There were many good authors I used to chat to and hang out online with, and now I can't remember their screen names. Oh well.
I personally don't like Liz or Max anymore. At all. I much prefer Kyle and Tess, they're so way more interesting! Tahra __________________

Kyle and Tess are my third favorite CC couple They were loads of fun.
Belit.net archived almost a thousand Candy fics. I think it archived the most fics written by Mnemosyne. There are some of her fics still out there, but like I said, Belit had the most Mnemosyne fics around. __________________
