"Wedding for Disaster" - Episode Discussion

From The Simpsons Archive

Wedding for Disaster
Episode #LABF05

Remember when Homer and Marge got divorced and remarried (by Reverend Lovejoy) in "A Milhouse Divided"? It turns out that Reverend Lovejoy wasn't licensed to perform marriages at the time, and there's another problem when they try it a second time; Homer turns up missing on the wedding day...and does Sideshow Bob have anything to do with it?

Another Sideshow Bob appearance?

Should be fun.

Sorry for the double posting. Wow no episode comments?

Hehe it was funny seeing the Sideshow Bob cameo and also that it wasn't him for once but hanging out with Krusty

Like the parody they did of Saw

I was only able to see one scene, the one where Homer made Marge look all over the place. I think he proposed at the end of the scene.

Yes he did.

This was a fun episode. It was cool how Sideshow Bob had nothing to do with it.

Selma and Patty! I wasn't expecting that.

I liked that scene where Homer made Marge look all over the place. It was so sweet of Homer to do that

I didn't expect it to be Selma and Patty either

I liked the end where the florist gets Marge the blue roses but it's some kind of mutant plant

The mutant blue roses was great.

And it was nice for Bart and Lisa. They banded together again.

I haven't seen that part of the episode, but when you think about it, those two are the only ones who have consistently disliked Homer. They feel that Marge could have done better.

I love that Bart and Lisa banded together again

It's true they have disliked Homer but I think he won them over when he was reading the his wedding vows and also when he said that he even missed Marge's sisters

It already aired on the East Coast. Instead of the regular opening credits for the episode, they played the video for "Do the Bartman", followed by an "In Memory of Michael Jackson" where they showed his character shaking hands with Homer.

I missed it, but it was nice that they were able to fit in a tribute to MJ.
