"Waverly Hills 9-0-2-1-D'oh" - Episode Discussion

From The Simpsons Archive

Waverly Hills 9-0-2-1-D'oh
Episode #LABF10

Bart and Lisa are transferred to an elementary school in upscale Waverly Hills, where Lisa is as unpopular as ever, and Bart doesn't help matters any by claiming that she knows singer Alaska Nebraska...who's coming to town for a concert; to make sure people think Bart and Lisa live in the area, Homer rents an apartment and moves into it...and gets a little too used to the single life.

Wasn't Homer trying to help Lisa be popular in the last episode?

I really liked last night`s episode. It was an excellent parody of current teen shows like 90210 and Hanna Montana. I enjoyed all the good stuff with Bart and Lisa. Any episode centered around them is always fun to watch. Plus i thought that Ellen Page did a great job as Alaska Nebraska.

Just finished watching the episode on Hulu.

Funniest scene was when Bart realized he had to go back to Springfield because he was in the middle of a Hide and Seek game with Milhouse. Poor Milhouse was in that dumpster for 3 weeks!

Yeah, but this time it was Bart.

Overall, I enjoyed the ep. There was a lot of fun Homer/Marge stuff.

I liked how the school was so good that even the Ralphie of that school spoke French.

I also like any episode where we see a lot of Bart and Lisa

I love the parody they did with these teen shows and I loved Alaska Nebraska

I love that the inspector was the guy from No Country For Old Men

The name Alaska Nebraska was hilarious IMO. I loved when she lip synced her speech to Lisa.

The Ralph at the new school had TONS of hair but just like the original, exhibited strange behavior by walking into his own locker.

The Ralph at the new school was great, so funny when he went into his locker

Who sings "Beverly Hills" and was it the same band who sang "Waverly Hills" in the episode?

Weezer sang "Beverly Hills". But I don't know if they sang "Waverly Hills".

Yeah I don't think it was them, it didn't sound like Rivers the singer of Weezer.

This episode - can I marry this episode? It was so funny and just - my fave of the season. Homer/Marge acting like college sweethearts with there "first" apartment. The "No Country for Old Men" parody. The "Waverly Hills" school and city. Alaska Nebraska lip-synching her own speech to Lisa. And Lisa's "your shirts should say insecurity" And WH-Ralph! I could go on...
