You hear about garage sales where a person finds a rare painting by a famous artist. But you never hear them sharing the money. Maybe it's a different circumstance because Marge and Homer knew Milhouse's parents.
So if you decide to go to a garage sale, make sure the people having the sale are strangers. Then you're not obligated to give them any money for that painting you buy. __________________
