show improvements?
What would you do to improve the show? BTW, if you're going to say "make it funny", then TELL us how you would make it funny.
I would allow guest stars more "onscreen" time, develop a storyline where their character plays a more active role. What's the point of hyping up how a big star will appear on the show, only to have them say one line? __________________

I would restore the role the interpersonal relationships used to play in the plotlines. And aim for the poignancy in them.

I would focus on some of the other characters on the show like Ralph, Comic Book Guy, Chief Wiggum, Ned Flanders, etc. I would like to see an episode about them, not just always focused on the Simpson family, even though the show is called The Simpsons.
