"Pulpit Friction" - Episode Discussion

From The Simpsons Archive

Pulpit Friction
Episode #RABF11

Reverend Lovejoy is replaced by a new pastor at the church, who gets Homer to become a Deacon, but Homer starts taking the faith a little too seriously; a dry cleaner replaces Marge's wedding dress with one of Krusty's costumes.

Oh dear... will we ever get Homer into a stable level of religion? I mean, years ago, he decided to give up his faith. Now he's going overboard with it!
Also, Marge in a Krusty costume...? Hilarious!!! I can't wait.

Ok who got creeped out with the bed bugs besides me? I was freaking out when Marge put the couch cushion to her face while the bed bugs were crawling on the other side.

I wouldn't say it creeped me out, but yeah, it was a bit icky.

Marge was putting her face to the cushion. I freaked out.

The pastor referring to Californication in his sermon...that was just wrong.

I like how the opening gag went right into the actual story in the episode and how everything was connected. Overall pretty entertaining episode.

"Are there any two words more exciting than couch shopping?" Really Marge?

Once again Nelson was hanging out with the people he bullies! Bart, Milhouse, Martin, and that other kid in the pillow fort. Haha.

"Why won't somebody blame the children!?" LOL.

I liked that too, but it's funny how they made such a big deal out of getting a new couch and yet, somehow the house just repaired itself!

Marge seems to get pleasures from odd everyday things. But this is going a bit too far!

Like Marge, this line gave me a laugh from something simple! It reminds me of a scene in an episode I forget where Marge opens her wardrobe and we see loads of green dresses!

This sounds like something from Harry Potter!
