Although Keifer Sutherland has appeared more than once, I thought the one where he was Jack Bauer was very memorable. And we even got a prank call out of it.

It was the episode where Bart joined the service, but Homer took his place. Keifer played the Drill Sergeant who kept assigning guys to front line infantry.

Hmm, some good ones have been mentioned here. The baseball players were great. I liked Glenn Close too.
I just watched the one with Mark Hamill and he was great. I'm surprised that no one has mentioned Kelsey Grammer. Or does he even count b/c he's done so many? __________________

Maybe Kelsey falls under the same category as the late Phil Hartman, where they've appeared so many times, there really isn't one appearance that stands out.

I remember when Bret Hart was on an episode. I think it was some kind of recycling one when Mr. Burns and Lisa teamed up temporarily.

Is it possible to mention other characters that have made cameo appearances such as The Archies (where Sideshow Bob runs for Mayor) and Oscar (the episode where Homer becomes Sanitation Commissioner)?

I remember Peter Griffin from Family Guy making an appearance on a TOH. It was the one where Homer has a magic hammock that clones, and Peter was in the crowd with all the Homers.

I always wondered what was up with that And there was the original Homer during the Tracy Ulman days.
