Love, Springfieldian Style - 4/20 (repeat) Episode Disussion

From The Simpsons Archive

Love, Springfieldian Style

Homer and Marge spend Valentine's Day stuck in a Tunnel of Love (thanks to Bart and some gelatin), so Homer decides to pass the time by telling three love stories of couples:
  • Homer and Marge as Bonnie and Clyde
  • Homer and Marge as "Sadie and the Scamp"
  • Nelson and Lisa as Sid Vicious and Nancy Spungen

Yeah i noticed them.

As for the episode, i really enjoyed it. It was another pretty good AU episode. My favorite segment by far was Sadie and the Scamp. It was very funny, but accurate version of Lady and the Tramp with the Scamp playing the role of deadbeat dad.

Have to watch again to see the cameos by them, missed them

It was a good episode, I also enjoyed it. My fave was also the Sadie and the Scamp one it was hilarious that Scamp was a deadbeat dad And then when Sadie told Scamp that there were eight more puppies

My second fave segment was the one with Lisa and Nelson in the role of Sid and Nancy. Love that they got hooked on chocolate

Totally unexpected when they parodied the spaghetti scene from Lady and the Tramp, then Scamp sucked her head into his mouth.

What about Mr. Burns and Mr. Smithers exchanging candy hearts? I can't remember what Smithers gave, but the "RELEASE THE HOUNDS" one was hilarious.

I liked that part, and he was telling her to let go

I know, that was pretty funny. Smithers heart to Mr. Burns said "Sweet on You"

And then she started hitting him with the breadstick or baguette, whatever that was.

Ok, now that they've shown Bart pulling this Jello prank, how many kids will go out and try it?

I don't remember much about the Bonnie and Clyde story except that Wiggum kept firing the machine gun at the two of them, even though they were dead.

Yeah they kept talking while Wiggum kept shooting at them, even Marge (Bonnie) flirted with Wiggum

That was my least fave story.

The only quote I can remember from the episode:

Homer (as Vamp): "You're pretty feisty for an upper class bitch"
