Springfield's "first in the nation" Presidential primary (caused in part by Homer destroying the city's fast food district when he throws a battery in the trash) has a surprise winner - Ralph Wiggum.

The couch gag reminded me of grade school, when we used to make those stories that you'd scroll inside a shoe box.

Didn't get to watch the episode but I did see the couch gag.

Cyn, it did remind me of that also, liked that they put The Simpsons against the Flanders. Pretty cool looking couch gag.

Yeah, everyone is sitting normal on the couch, with Flanders all sliced up on the floor.

It kinda reminded me of this show I watch on Showtime called Dexter, with the way that Ned was all chopped up in different pieces.

I can't believe Homer would have so much crap in his car. And who carries around an old (and leaking) car battery?

Aww man was so upset because I was rewinding my tape to see the episode and it turns out it didn't record it was all b&w

Hopefully I can catch the repeat one of these days if they re-air it again.

I loved this ep. It really made me laugh. But I guess a Ralph centric ep will do that.

I adored the couch gag too. It was great.

Ok, remember I mentioned it was one of those scrolling story things? It's also in Medival times. They show The Flanders. They show The Simpsons. The Flanders steal the Simpsons couch. The Simpsons go to the Flanders to retrieve their couch. The last frame, The Simpsons are sitting on their couch with Ned chopped up on the floor in front of them.

Oh yeah I remember seeing the couch gag because I had turned to FOX and saw, can't believe I didn't remember.

I really liked that couch gag.
