An appreciaton thread 4 the friendship between barney and homer.
This has to do with the episode where they flashbacked to when homer.barney,apu and the police fat guy were in a music group.

It seems like ever since Barney sobered up, they've pushed him to recurring status. I would still picture them hanging out -- they've been best friends since high school at least.

Yeah it's a while since Barney has sobered up, but hasn't there been like two episodes since he sobered up that's he's drunk? Because I remember seeing an episode I think it was last season where Barney was drunk and I was like "Wasn't he sober?"

Yeah Barney and Homer have got to be best friends since high school or maybe even earlier.

I love when they have flashbacks of when they were in school

Barney should come out more.

Yeah they need to have Barney and Homer take a road trip or something, LOL. They haven't really talked about Barney's life on the show, have they? Except when they showed him and Homer in highschool.

That would be an interesting storyline. Like what would happen if Selma winds up getting hurt (again) and Homer sides with Selma instead of Barney.

That would be cool!! It's nice that we've been seeing Homer at least care a little bit more about Patty and Selma this season

Come to think of it, we really don't know much about Barney besides the fact that he and Homer hung out back in high school. Did they know each other growing up? How did they meet and become friends? What were his parents like? Are they still living?

It's true we really don't know about Barney's life, I just knew that he and Homer were high school buddies. What's his job? I don't think I even know or if it has been mentioned.

One scene that always cracks me up is when it's some party and Barney is drunk and is dressed like Marge and he breaks the side of the stairs and falls

That's a really good point about Barney's job, he always has money for beer, because you know that Moe doesn't give beer for free,

But Barney was in the B sharps and the episode where he was working at the Bowlerama. No idea what he is doing now

Barney is like Norm from Cheers. He supposedly has a job, yet you never see him working. There was the stint as Plow King, but that's about it.
