Don't Fear the Roofer- 5/1 Episode Discussion (350th ep.)

From the Simpsons Archive

Don't Fear the Roofer
GABF10

When the Simpsons' roof leaks, Homer heads out for a drink and meets a roofer (voiced by Ray Romano) whom Homer makes friends with, but when nobody ever sees Homer with this "friend" of his, Marge and Dr. Hibbert conclude that Homer has gone crazy.

This sounds like another great tomorrow. Any episode where everyone thinks Homer has gone crazy is always fun to watch. BTW congrats to The Simpsons for their 350th episode. I never thought they would be still on for this long many years ago. Hopefully the Simpsons will keep going strong for at least another 2 or 3 seasons to get within range of Gunsmoke as the longest running series on television.

The Simpsons has to get to Season 21 to be the longest running. However, to get the most number of shows, they'll have to surpass Gunsmoke's with 633. According to an article in the news thread, The Simpsons will break the Ozzie & Harriet record during Season 19.

So this was the episode that Steven Hawking's wife had a problem with (part concerning electroshock therapy). It seemed more like another parody of the move A Beautiful Mind.

This episode sort of reminded me of "The Fight Club," well only the parts where everyone was convinced Ray wasn't real.

This was an okay episode.

Too funny ... I did not see that coming with his name spelling out "Imaginary" ... very creative on the writer's part.

Ray Romano plugging ELR w/ Homer ...

I loved the plug at the end.

"And if I was to want to see it on a particular day of the week, when would I see it?"

*On Monday*

"On the radio?"

*No, on the TV*

"at what time would I have to be watching?"

*Nine!*

"Oh, so I had to be watching it on wednesday" *MONDAYS* "'on the radio" *TV* "at 2" ".............yes, homer"*

Good episode, my brother kept saying that in the end Ray was going to be real. Poor Homer when Dr. Hibbert kept showing him pics to see if they were real or imaginary and when Robin Hood's pic came out Homer said "Real"

Loved the plug at the end of the show for Everyone Loves Raymond Too funny!

Very good episode last night. I was laughing throughout it, especially during the ELR plug during the credits. Plus i was glad to see Stephen Hawkings on again.

I really liked this episode. I actually laughed several times which is rare with recent episodes. My favorite part was probably Homer's secret recipe for cola. He was so amused then seemed so dejected when it blew away. I also loved the extremely long and repetitive plug for Everybody Loves Raymond at the end. That was funny. And the anagram for imaginary. I didn't catch on to that one.

It was great to see Stephen Hawking again.

Poor Homer is the beginning everyone was getting mad at him.

The surprise party they were planning at Moe's for Lenny I always wonder what's with all the Lenny love? Is it just some kind of inside joke? That the party took I think it was 6 years to plan And Homer sat in the cake Carl made because it's Lenny's fave stool

I like that part when Homer drew that big portrait of Ray on his house and Marge said "Homer how did you think i would react when I saw that?" and Homer said "like that" and he'd drwan Marge angry.

Homer and Ray's song.

Them explaining why no one else saw Ray.

Would anyone else have liked it better if Ray wasn't real?
