Thomas Pynchon is an author known to be reclusive. I wouldn't have known either -- I don't read books.

Was it just me or did Simpsons' commercial always come on right as the Golden Globes can back from commercials? Just me? Right.

Hee. Flander's hair amused me, especially because you could tell the artists just added on some big flop of brown stuff. The line for his normal hair was still there. But oh, how beautiful Cyrus was. :drools:

The ending was a wee bit predicatable, with the whole "teach me to be a better husband thing!"

By the way, next week's episode is preempted. I .. can't remember why, but it is. Yeah.

I caught bits and pieces.

Twisty lard
Cyrus - I can't believe it's not Flanders.
Homer's character making out w/ the statue on the ship's bow (ew).
Brief cameos of Pynchon and Clancy

I thought that last night`s episode was one of those types that has some funny moments, but at the same time isn`t anything extraordinary to write about. I thought it was lacking that special something which would`ve made it better.

These were my favorite quotes:
Marge"Your father is a private person"
Homer(walking around outside naked)"Marge we're out of bath towels"

Marge"Dr. Marvin Monroe! I haven't seen you in years!"
Dr. Marvin Monroe "I've been sick"

OMG it was Marvin Monroe!

I love how the writers try to pull a fast one on the loyal fans who know there is definately something odd about Monroe appearing out of nowhere. Hee.

It's been like that this whole season. Sigh.

The writers did something similar when Krusty had his Bar Mitvah. Krusty's middle name was different from the one mentioned in a previous episode.
