The Debarted - 3/2 Episode Discussion

From The Simpsons Archive

The Debarted
#KABF06

Every time Bart tries some sort of prank, it backfires, and he begins to suspect one of his friends is sabotaging them; when Marge wrecks one of the cars, Homer is reluctant to give the loaner car back when the repairs are completed.

I think this is the first time I've heard Bart mention he had two best friends, Milhouse and Nelson.

I am so mad that Nascar ran 30 minutes long and my TiVo wasn't able to record it. Damn Nascar!

They had a couple accidents towards the end of the race, so it went over time. At least Fox aired the episode in its entirety. I hate it during football season when Fox says, "We now return to The Simpsons, already in progress..."

I thought the scene where Bart was pushing Lisa in the beginning was funny. And then Lisa had on cleats.

Finally I got to see the episode tonight.

I know I asked my brother the same question that Bart mentioned that he had two best friends.

It was pretty funny in the beginning with Lisa and Bart fighting and how Bart was pushing her and then Lisa hitting him with her cleats

Moleman and the airbag

Willie tattooing a journal entry about a student thanking him

Ralph saying, "When I grow up I wanna be like me"

I couldn't figure out who the guest voice was - had to check the credits at the end (Topher Grace).

I had to do the same thing, I was wondering who it was until I checked the credits. Then after knowing it was him went back and recognized it

What threw me off was that the mole (can't remember his name) had a lower voice than all the other kids.

Saturday I saw my niece drink her juicebox and was reminded of Bart and the guys having a juicebox fight.

Why don't you see him eating blue licorice?

Is it something out of the ordinary for him?

To me, blue licorice is like rebelling against traditional red or black licorice. I don't picture Skinner eating licorice, let alone blue licorice. But then again, he also rode a motorcycle when he was younger.

I see what you mean.

But he does have that rebel inside him. He did have that rebel attitute when he was younger.
