Oh! I just realized I haven't posted in this thread! I loved this episode. I grew up in Texas so I loved Boyhood, and I thought it should've won Best Picture at the Oscars last year. I think some people might find it boring because there's no real drama or conflict, but it's such a poignant and authentic portrait of youth and growing up that I think anyone can relate to. I highly recommend it.

Anyway, I was excited to see The Simpsons take on it. Loved the flashbacks and flashforwards, of course. Overall it was a wonderful parody/tribute and also a great episode for Bart.

I was so excited to get a glimpse of future Maggie as I always am, and then I was like...that's not what I wanted to see!

The Lisa/Nelson scenes were indeed sweet.

Well that makes me happy that you, someone who is a fan of the original movie, liked The Simpsons take on it. They must have done the film some justice then!
