I didn't hate Jesse, but I was never able to really care about him or have any interest in his "relationship" with Isabel. To me, it made no sense and was all about moving the plot around artificially, rather than allowing it to flow naturally.

Throughout Season 3, I found myself rewriting the episodes in my head to what they would have been if Alex had been there. Things would have been so much better.

Did anyone like him? I mean, how could they? He just didn't have any common since. And he didn't really love Isabel!

If he had, he'd wouldn't have cared that she was an alien. Alex didn;t.

Well, in a semi-defense of Jesse, he had every right and reason to feel betrayed and angry at Isabel for lying to him and marrying him without letting him in on her non-human status. I would have considered him even more of a fake character than I already did if he hadn't been upset. Isabel was wrong to do that. However, I didn't like Jesse's fear of Isabel once he did learn it. Alex knew Isabel and he wasn't afraid of her.

But that just further made me feel that Jesse and Isabel weren't a strong couple. Isabel trusted Alex. It took time, but she did. And she was the one who told Max that they should tell Alex about them, that the group would be better with Alex than without him. Isabel and Alex really knew each other, and they loved each other with that understanding and knowledge. That was real love, with trust and acceptance.

Trude - Can't you imagine if it had Alex and Isabel's wedding? I would have had so much more emotional investment in that storyline then. And they would have both been so cute, all nervous and excited, with the whole gang around working to help them make their big day special. It would have been wonderful. [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img] See, I like rewriting Season 3. [img]smilies/lol.gif[/img]

Now that would have been great. And I'm sure Max wouldn't have broken Alex's nose.

Maybe Kyle. We got to see some good friendship scenes between the two of them in HTOHL and VLV. And they did save the world together, after all. [img]smilies/lol.gif[/img]

Although a part of me would like to say Michael. But I always like to think that Alex and Michael would have been really good friends, if the show had given them the chance. I mean, they already were friends, and it was clear that Michael did respect Alex from what he said to him in EotW, but I wish they'd been given more scenes together.

She would have been SOO the wedding Nazi. Yelling and shouting that things weren't perfact.

Almost to the point where she freaked out.

it would be fun to see Isabel all panicked because of something small going wrong on her wedding day (like not enough flowers) and Alex being all confident and calming her down.

It really would.

I would have loved to see a huge wedding. Not some qwicky one, and her parents know Alex. They would have been all for the wedding.

Neither approved of Jesse. They could tell he was loser from the start.
