Colin Hanks - Should Colin stop accepting teen-roles?

I "discovered" the topic while browsing on CMM board and I found it interesting. Colin turns 27 this year but he still looks young for his years. What do you think, should Colin stop accepting teen-roles and start doing something more suitable for his age?

No I don't think he should. Teen roles are good for an actor that still has the youthful look. I think it would help Colin attract new fans to him, and keep the older ones still entraced. But dont get me wrong I would still love to see Colin in some more hard hitting more grownup roles too.

I see what you mean and agree with you, absolutely. Colin won't be young forever so that he will have enough time to do something more serious.

LOL I was thinking the same thing!
I think he might be pushing his luck when he hits his 30's but I say if he can get away with it he should go for it.

since he probably won't be able to play a 17 year old when he's 42, he should play a few teenager movies - maybe some that get labelled as classics like "Breakfast Club" and then start the Oscar winning roles

Yeah i just like seeing him in movies. I'll even see him in some guy type of movie as long as hes in it. I think he should go for the roles hes comforable in so he does a good job

Great topic. I don't think he should play a teenager on a TV series. If it's a movie - a one shot deal - it's ok. I don't think it will hurt. Plus, like we said, he can get away with it. On Roswell, I thought a few of the actors were a bit long in the tooth to be playing teens, IMO. But Colin wasn't one of them.

Also, there's a happy medium. Colin can play youngish characters. A character in his early-mid 20's who's trying to make their way in the world. The Joel Stein character in "Talk to Me" sounded perfect.

I think Colin could swing the teenager thing for a few more years, I mean for petes sake, now adays its like 30year olds playing 16 year olds, so really no big deal there. And plus Colin has that cute young looking face, well when he doesn't have facial hair or anything
