Colin Hanks - Board Traffic Reports: Please read and respond.

There will no longer be official post counts, because Fanforum is doing away with them. In time, the plan is to install a program that will display the post counts for each message board every week right on a page here that will rank all the message boards by post count. Doing something like this should be seen as being positive motivation, because mods and posters will be able to see how how their boards rank in relation to everyone else.

In the meantime, over the last few weeks, the post counts on all of the message boards here were checked to get an idea of how they are doing. Listed below is how the Colin Hanks board fared during that three week span.

Colin Hanks
Week 1: = 80
Week 2: = 87
Week 3: = 122

Fanforum is going to continue to monitor the traffic on the boards on a regular basis, and any board that has less than 100 posts per week four times in a given three month period will be closed, and we’ll be applying that same rule once you get to monitor your boards yourselves.
Post counts won't start until early March to give us time to “rally the troops” so to speak and do what we can to increase traffic on this board. Post counting will resume on March 6, and we will post the counts for each week until the software that will allow weekly post counts is installed (or until we get closed down).

It is encouraging that we improved in the final week, and I hope that we can build on that success to make sure that our board stays around. On that note, if you have any ideas on increasing traffic, be it bringing in new members or getting people from other boards to stop by, or just getting our posters rallied up to post more, anything you can contribute will be appreciated.

BTW, I pretty much copied this from what my co-mod posted on the Comics board.

At this point I'm not sure what can be done. So I look foward to hearing what people think.

hmmm...I love Colin, so this board can't be shut down

There isn't much stuff on the net about him, and I like how people in different parts of the world can keep us updated.

Thanks for posting that! I know alot of you know how upset I'm am about this. But I'm not getting paid to be a fan and I do not pay to play here. So I will do my part to be more active instead of just reading the threads and checking out the stuff posted. I think we should try and get new people posting here and I'm actually excited about that.

Yes any activity counts, even the games but we wouldn't mind you chatting with us either

I'll try to find time to visit the introduction thread for 'starters'.

Nick and Bill's boards have threads similar to this... I posted some suggestions on Nick's board and copied them to Bill's also... You can go look or if I have time this evening I'll copy them over here too.

Thanks for the support again. I guess the best thing people can do is spread the word.

I'm not trying to scare people, but losing this board is a possibility. And if we lose it, we might not get it back. Just look at what happened to Brendan Fehr.

Yeah, that was sad how the Fehrians abandoned FF.

I hear that there's a movement to get a Brendan board on FF again.

Colin was always one of my favorite characters on "Roswell". I'm sort of out of the loop on what he's been doing more recently,but I'd like to find out. So I will try to come by and post more often too.
