When I was looking at the monthly post count, I saw the Colin board on that list.
That was the day I decided, that I'm going to post there, cause I like Colin. I think he is very funny and talented. I started posting in the game threads.I felt very welcome on the Colin board thanks to Trude and Chris. I never thought that I would be become a Mod here but it happend :D and I have a wonderful co-mod :D

125,000 posts! :party: I haven't been a poster here for that long, but I really enjoy posting here. There's a lovely group of posters on this board and it's great being able to discuss Colin's projects with you all :group_hug:. I'm looking forward to many more celebrations to come!

I first came to :ff: in the summer of 2001 - back in the old days when internet was quite a novel thing for me - because besides one other message board, :ff: was the only one with a whole board dedicated to Colin! I was in my big Roswell phase back then where Colin's character Alex Whitman was my favourite and searching the wonderful internet for places to gush about him.

I didn't join :ff: before 2002 because my internet access was pathetic back then and I was more interested in fanfiction and other fandoms actually but the Colin H. board made me return to :ff:
I started out cautiously, only posting in the game threads at first, wanting to check out the people at the board, I guess. Liking the relaxed atmosphere there a lot, I started posting lots more and soon ventured to other boards (mainly Roswell and Katherine Heigl).

I became the board's moderator in 2005 (first half of the year, I believe) and yeah, fun times :D

It might sound a bit unbelieveable but there were a few short weeks/months were we had about 2.000 posts weekly (with 5-6 regular posters) and I was sooooooo annoyed when after the hacker attack around that time, we had lost a few thousand posts because of it :irked:

I won't lie, there were difficult times, when I was really troubled on how we could meet the minimum post of 105 posts/week and the board was on the "watch list" after not meeting that crucial number. I honestly thought about giving up a few times, especially after the Nick Wechsler board closed, but then became to stubborn, thinking "if they wanna get rid of the board, they better close it themselves, 'cause I won't give in" :lol:

For a long time last year, I could count on Chris to regulary PM me about me thinking of anyone who would be up for the job as another moderator, making me anticipate when the next PM would come :D
I must have really frustrated her with my constant "no, can't think of anyone" replies but I swear, I didn't only do it because I am power hungry and liked have 100 % control of the board :lol:
I managed to stop worrying about nobody being interested in the job which would mean admitting that "nobody cared for the little Hanks" and now I have a wonderful new co-mod who speaks my language and will one day, help me take over the world :evil_lol:
