His problem with the wheelchair was that he thought that he would die there. He thought they were making him less and less and that he was on his way out. He didn't realize that being in the wheelchair was instead of the killing him off that had been the original plan.

Wow, that is a surprise. He must have known that they were intending to dust him after WML. Why give him a long lasting path to death instead?

I just thought. Since Dru was a Seer, and Spike a pretty proactive kind of vamp, they must have had quite some adventures together! She sees the future, and if he doesnt like it, one can be pretty sure he tries to change it, no matter what the odds are!

But I cant imagine anything else than that that must have been a conflict between those two. That she has such strong faith in the future, sees what will happen and believes in it, even help it happen despites not liking it. While he is always set on defeating fate, no matter how bad the odds might be. He is a fighter, who will try to get things his way, regardless of prophecies.

They've very much opposites in that way.

Drusilla is one more for tradition. She's still very Victorian in her dress and actions, she focuses more on Destiny. As a human she believed her destiny was to go to hell, and she believed it. She saw her death and fate, and hardly tried to prevent it.

Spike on the other hand, as we know, is very against destiny and tradition. He makes his own choices and decides his own fate. I imagine that must of been a point of problems between them at times.

We see a small hint of that already in SH, when she encourages him to go and chant with the other vampires, to get the traditional blessing, but he only reluctantly agrees, because it would be socially wise, and then give a damn in the prophecy and the ritually right day for attacking Buffy.

We do. He only gives in cause of her, and we know he does anything for the woman he loves.

But it was clearly not everything she accepted right away. When she got the vision that Spike was gonna dust, she did try to fight it. At the same time as working for it...

Which makes me think that she does love him, in her own way. Fighting it to save him, but at the same time accepting it cause that's what she does.
