I like Shrek for that inversion of things. Where the princess is perfectly capable of kicking ass herself, and shows it later, but just decided to wait for Prince Charming to come slay the dragon because she considered it more romantic And then gets pissed off because an ogre for rescuer didn't fit with her "happy ever after" fantasy.
