Hi everyone ,

The Fan Forum Graphics Team is in the process of (re)customising message boards and now it's your turn!

If you have any picture or colour suggestions please post them in this thread. Don't post (hotlink) the pictures, links to them are fine. Make sure that the pictures are of as high quality as possible and that the top of the head of the person in the picture isn't cropped off. We also like to use photoshoot images when possible, preferably individual pictures of each cast member. When suggesting colours please keep in mind that some colours will work better than others. The Team usually tries to avoid really vibrant and dark colours because we have found in the past that they are hard to look at for long periods of time. If you would like some help coming up with colour combinations we recommend checking out the design seeds website.

Everyone is encouraged to voice their opinions for this as you are the ones who will be posting on the board and we hope to make as many people happy with the finished result as possible. It does not matter if you are a board moderator, regular poster, or casual poster here. If you have a suggestion, please share it here with us .

Your suggestions for possible pictures and colours will be taken into serious consideration, but in the interest of seeing every board receive the best customised look possible the final decision concerning how this board will be customised will be made by the members of the Graphics Team. This is because we want to make sure that the selected graphic and colours fit into the overall design scheme that we've established for Fan Forum.

For a full explanation of the message board customisation process, see this thread. If you have any questions, please feel free to send Mel, Chelle, or Rora a PM or ask the Team on the message board customisation thread.

Please leave this topped until a week or so after the board has been (re)customised.

Note: It usually takes less than two weeks for us to finish making the new banner and the sooner we know what you want, the more we can work on it (though it can take a few months or so to set it up with the new colours on the board), so please let us know your suggestions as soon as possible.

When the Team have made and voted on a winning graphic I will close this thread until the graphic and colours get put up. It will then be re-opened so that you can share your thoughts about it.

Thanks for starting the thread!

I suppose my initial thoughts went to the light and dark theme of the show. Tandy's white glowing dagger and Tyrone with his dark cloak. So then I think...shades of grey maybe for a color scheme? Maybe?

As for the banner. Obviously Cloak and Dagger should be on it

So Tandy and Tyrone. They are the only two that are part of every single episode. Beyond them I'm not sure. Brigid? Mina? Should we include their families?

If you went with just the two characters are there any symbols or other images which could fill up the space a little more? Or do they have any costumes/alter egos which could also be added in?

We could also make the other characters a lot smaller than the leads to show their importance

I don't think there are any others other than some posters & those look usable enough to me

. That's all I'd found when I was checking for pictures when figuring out rounds

I'm not sure how good this photo is because the coloring is a bit darker, but it does show them using their powers so it could work as an "alter ego" type of idea. There could be a better quality of that somewhere.

If other people need to be added to the banner, either to fill it up or because other posters want it, then I think we can at least eliminate some characters that really don't need to be there. Like the Priest who was hardly in the show, Liam (younger blonde haired guy), and Connors (older white cop) since he has been a defeated evil at this point.

eta; also here is an extra option for Tyrone and Tandy! It's basically all the photos that were already linked, but with an added solo shot for each in case that's useful!

I like your picture suggestions, Rae! I also agree that it probably should be just Tyrone and Tandy. I would add little Tyrone and little Tandy before I think of including the parents because we do see them every now and then and they are integral to the show. I feel the parents are just there and aren't too important to the show so far. We should include the cloak and dagger! I like Rae's idea of including them using their powers, but I am not sure how it will look. I feel it works on Arrow and The Flash because their masks cover their faces. Double Tandy and Tyrone may look odd if that makes sense, lol.

I think the parents (Adina, Otis, Melissa) only rank behind O'Reilly in terms of importance. While they don't have much screen time they're important to Tyrone and Tandy emotional development, as lot of the two's issues are related to their relationships with their parents.

I think Delgado is worth keeping in consideration, aside from O'Reilly he's the only other supporting character who's actually from the comics. And apparently he's confirmed to return next season. Mina and Evita might be worth thinking about too.

If more characters are needed, making them smaller than Tyrone and Tandy is a good compromise.

Shades of gray makes the most sense if black and white are too high contrast.

A couple black and white pictures of Tyrone and Tandy. What do you guys think about using black and white photos instead of colour?

We don't use black & white pictures unfortunately, sorry

Its up to you guys what you want in the graphic. We've done just two characters in the past so if the preference is just to have Tyrone & Tandy then we can work with that

A grey colour scheme may be boring since there's no colour so may be something to keep in mind when thinking about what colours you'd like to see here. I recommend taking a look at the design seeds website to see if you can see any colour schemes which you would like to see

. Here's one example of a all grey colour scheme. While something like this or this may give you a little more colour while still focusing on the grey shades

I like the first color scheme!

I thought about adding O'Reilly, but her potential storyline might make the graphic out of date real soon.

I like both of the suggested color schemes! One made me think of marvel and the other made me think of the water which is where Tandy and Tyrone met

In my own opinion I think Tandy and Tyrone are the only characters that need to be present. That's not to say the other characters aren't important or they don't play a role in the show. But some are only there for half of the episodes or just a few and I have no idea what the size of their roles will be next season. And yes they do play significant roles in Ty and Tandy's life, but that still proves the point that it's all about Ty and Tandy. Everyone is there to further along their development. The only other show I can recall that focused so heavily on two characters is Supernatural. I haven't watched it in awhile, but even though other characters showed up in that show it was always about Dean and Sam. Always. Every now and then it was about other characters, but the two brothers was what the show was about. So! That's my two cents! I'll leave it up to the graphics makers and what works best for them!

Supernatural is one of the boards we've done with just the two characters

. Another one was Elementary (board is now closed but the customisation still is there if you want to look at it). With Supernatural we had the Impala to fill out more of the graphic. Then Elementary works really well with the Manhattan buildings in the background. That's why I asked earlier if there was something which could go in that space which connects with the show at all. It could be anything; a symbol, location, object, them again representing their powers more, ect. (sorry I don't know the show so I have no idea). But if there's nothing really then guess the team just have to be creative
