Cloak & Dagger - 1x06 "Funhouse Mirrors" Episode Discussion (July 5, 2018)

Tandy and Ty each meet someone living the life that could have been theirs, for better or worse, had they taken different paths without the rig explosion.

In the new Marvel series, Tyrone Johnson (Aubrey Joseph) is Cloak, a superhero endowed with the powers of teleportation and intangibility, with a link to the 'Darkforce dimension'.
Tandy Bowen (Olivia Holt) is Dagger, who can create 'daggers of light', heal people and purge addictions.
Although the pair are from very different backgrounds, they'll have to find some common ground to get the best out of their newfound powers.

I just read the description of the series... Tandy will be able to heal people? That's pretty sweet... kind of like a Whitelighter on Charmed.

The purge addictions thing is kind of funny since she has one of her own.

We kind of saw her ability to heal herself, with the cut on her hand. I believe that's what it was. lol I am curious to see how strong her healing powers are.

Was the hand she used to stab Rick the same one she cut herself with? I seen her looking at her hand at the end of the episode but didn't really put the healing part together, but yeah... if she had cut her hand it would be more visible.

About a day to the next episode.

I didn't even know she can heal or at least I didn't notice it. At least that's the good element of her power.

I thought it was odd how the cut healed that fast when she looked at her hand once the dagger disappeared, and questioned that too. Is it the same hand? Did the dagger cause it? I thought the dagger may have caused it, but now it is mentioned the healing, I think it was a subtle nod to her healing powers. I have to rewatch more closely now.

It seems like it since there definitely was a mark there from what looked like a cut. I would know, because of your crossword, I have watched scenes multiple times.

But can't say for sure if it is the same hand. lol

So Tyrone disappearing during daytime now. Conners will think someone with super powers is after him now.

Don't like how he tried to kill O'Reilly... wonder if Billy's friend will survive.

Tyrone showing up at the church at the end and Tandy trying to comfort him when he broke down before remembering she can't touch him. Wow.

Yeah, it's nice that he ended up back at the church where she was after all that... As they said the universe keeps putting them together.

It just won't let them touch or anything. But it's nice that they're bond is startng as pure friendship.

Well I guess they can touch, it just doesn't last long til they get thrown apart.

Nice that the other dad is still alive... Just might take some work to get him to talk... wonder if Tandy will be able to heal him?
