This questions have been debated by the greatest minds in the world, yes, the greatest. I have spent countless hours arguing this issue and I believe it all started when Cordy got her "memories" back, this is when the beast first appears and we see Cordy acting up after that, after Apocalipse Nowish Cordy's evil really starts to take off as Jasmine is no longer just "over seeing" but living the real life plot. Now this could also be taken right back to season two as Jasmine mentions that she had even planned the birth of Connor which is my greatest belief unless she was making it up to convince the team that she was the ring leader of an elaborate plan to bring about her birth. Either way it all leads back to Jasmine who, while capturing the whole world under her "everything is perfect" spell, died from quite a silly punch-through-the-head, which was powerful but not entirely fitting if she was the cause of so much destruction.

Just my take on it, and many other valid ideas and opinions

maybe he jsut doesnt want to give em bad news, or maybe he did tell them off screen. when he mentioned it to spike in AHITW, spike didnt seem that surprised or say "what, cordelia's dead??" or something, so who knows.

If I remember right, they were all going out for drinks or something. Cordy wanted to talk to Angel for a min. and then he learned she had died. So I guessing that he told them when he didn't show up with Cordy.

That was in season 2 episode called Reprise. Then in the next episode, Epiphany, Angel went to her apartment and helped her.

is wes's middle name percy or something, cause i noticed that spike would often refer to wes as percy. once in "Lineage" and another in "power play".

edit: nvm i found out that percy is some british slang insult word.

When spike was made corporeal again, did it really throw the universe out of alignment or was that also lindsey and eve playing with them?

I believe the whole bringing spike back was lindsey/eve playing around with them. Because if i'm not mistaken i believe that Lindsey sent the box to spike. Someone can correct me on this.
