Oh just a thought of Buffy finding out that she and Spike end up together in the future and Spike does everything in his power *since he's evil* trying to stop it from happening -- and all buffy could ask is How could she even get close to this guy! he's evil!

Sounds good but of course they end up falling for each other.

You know what would be interesting there, is if they both believed it would happen, but both hate each other as they keep trying to make each other change. He tries to vamp her, she tries to ensoul him. Sounds entertaining.

Well, I want different things from fic and from the show. I want the show to make me cry and the fic to cheer me up.

My fiance doesn't get my fic addiction and why it only applies to some shows. And I'm just like, cause honey, some shows open up a world of possibilities and others don't.

So *I* have watched way too much TV and am totally paranoid. Like, an hour ago, I hear this semi-blood curdling scream outside my window. My fiance and I exchange WTF looks and go to the window, where we see the tail lights of a van. Exactly, the ultimate vehicle of choice for the rapist/killer set. Then, to my horror, Rick decided to go outside to check it out. Like how people do before they get brutally stabbed in movies. Brilliant! It appeared to me, from my vantage point behind many, many trees, a cat and my bedroom window that there was someone out there with a flashlight. Not knowing *what* to do but wanting to do something, I creeped downstairs after Rick and looked out the window toward the balcony - a significantly worse view, but quite near the door.

The door I hoped to soon re-lock after my honey came back in, safe and sound.

Then, it opened. It belatedly occurred to me that I couldn't actually *see* Rick, so for all I knew, it was the killer taking his place. Until I caught a glimpse of his shirt from my hiding place and came out to find out what was going on.

"There's a guy out there with a flashlight on his head and he looked right at me, so I ran back inside."

I locked the door, turned on the alarm, hauled ass to my bedroom and glued my nose to the window again. Sure enough, a guy that had some kind of miner hat was walking around with a checklist acting all "professional" but I knew what he was really up to.

Then he circled back and turned his "Time Warner Cable" van around and passed by the house a couple times. "Looking for witnesses?" Rick suggested.

Meanwhile, we found a nice easy non-emergency number for the cops. Just cause, if I was slowly bleeding to death inside of a cable van, I'd want someone to call the cops.

I had no idea which option to press, so I was relieved to find out there was an operator who could deal with that pesky issue for me. I explained that I was just calling because I heard a woman's scream outside and saw a possibly totally unrelated cable guy. I was trying to explain that the scream sounded like something out of a horror movie - or, more realistically, out of *me* when *watching* a horror movie... and nothing.

"Hello?" I asked and repeated it a gazillion times.

Nada, the phone was dead.

HE CUT THE PHONES! No, that's crazy... except...

"The internet is down," Rick told me. Internet provided by Time Warner Cable. We turned on the TV. Nada. "He's probably just in the neighborhood fixing it," Rick said reasonably.

And yet, it worked fine *before* the guy got there.

I called the cops back on the land line. Got a different lady, but she sounded like she took me a little more seriously. I left my name and number because I reasoned that A. She was unlikely to be in on the conspiracy with the Cable Guy and B. If they needed more details for poor-bleeding-girl-in-the-van I didn't want to leave them hanging.

Then, I paced. Took a quick scan outside at every window I passed, of coursed, but mostly... just paced. I heard a siren at one point, but it seemed to be going the other direction, which was good, I didn't want to wake up everyone in the neighborhood. I thought they should find the girl all stealth like.

Then, I spotted them go by the house. Truthfully, I hadn't a clue what they could do since the van was long gone, but I was happy they were there so he couldn't come back to get me.

The phone rang and I hopped on over to it, not at all sure what they would ask me, a little worried they would yell at me for wasting their time. But he was a nice fellow and I suspected he was probably right outside the house and I was right cause he SAW ME! I waved and they winked their lights.

It was beginning to appear I would not be murdered with a chainsaw.

Apparently, they talked to the cable guy who said it was some teenagers just ****ing around.

Well!

Stupid teenagers.
