I was just about to say the same thing, Carmen. It's not even the person that's saying it (althought that does make it more effective), the quote itself is so beautiful. You could tell Spike had been in agony for months, dreaming of different ways to save her, ways that would never bring her back.

Oh I love it too.The poor guy has lost the love of his life and he was dreaming of how he saved her every night.It's so romantic.
In the Buffy board they are disgussing that Buffy couldn't love Spike because he was soulles and I said that he was always more human than otehr vampires and buffy saw that.It's really starnge how we all ship Spuffy but a group of fans think she didn't love him in s6 the otehrs thinks she does or they think that Buffy loves both Angel and Spike and the otehrs say she moved on and she is only in love whit Spike now.And there are alos fans who think that if Spike loved Bufyf than it was in an evil way or some say he was just obssesed.Okay how can you say the guy is obssesed when you see for example :''Fool For Love'',''Intervention'',''The Gift'' and ''After Life'' or say he loved her evily.He might ahve loved her selfishly pre-soul but he still wanted her to be save and happy.Thye can have thei opinions but it was so clear in moments like these that Spike was very in love whit Buffy.

I'm not a Spuffy fanatic and I don't think she loved him in S6. I do think she did in S7. I will never believe she was in love with Angel past S4-5 though.

Riley was her rebound.

I don't understand how Spike not having soul has anything to do with her feelings toward him anyway. It's possible to love something that is "evil" or soulless, I should say. We don't choose who we love.

I think she loved him when he was souless, she just wouldn't allow herself to because it was wrong and whatnot, plus all her other issues.

I think he loved her without a soul, but not in the same way he did after he got one. He loved her like a demon, very possessive and selfish.

Funny how him loving her sans soul was still more amazing and true then most human men are capable

I agree.Pre souled Spike loved her selfishly, post souled Spike loved her selfleslly.And yes Spike loved her like most of the human couldn't.That's really touching.And every time she said she couldn't love him and he was disgusting i felt really sad because I knew what would happen in the end.Stupid Buffy.
