Reasons: Because roses are red and Groo's eyes are blue.

Because he was loyal

Because he put his "princess'" happiness before his own

Groo was a very unique character.

Added you. I hear Groo is rather hated one this board...but I love him and since we were proing him in the anti-Cangel I figured I'd make him a thread since he didn't have one.

Its probably since I think that most ATS fans are Cangel. Groo was Cordy's only boyfriend on the series. That guy in S1 was a one-night stand. She was never really "with" Angel. Doyle would've been her boyfriend had he survived. She was possessed when she was with Connor.

Yeah I figured that's what it was. Poor Groo :< Didn't even do anything worthy of being hated over.

I love his eyes. And his facial expressions showed so much innocence. He was a good person.

Oh yeah I love how in some situations his eyes just glow and then there were the few times they looked black.

Groo is NOT hated here And I know tons of Cangel's (myself and Lyn for example) who actually like Groo.

So you two can quit with the "The cangel's here hate groo zomg!"

All I did was give reasons for why fans might not like him. It does seem like it would be the only reason. He didn't try to destroy the world, kill innocent people, etc, like other main characters that are beloved in the Buffyverse. So those that dislike him probably feel that way because he was Cordy's boyfriend/lover.
