| Expecting Like I may have said before, I enjoy it when Angel and company try to look cool and end up embarrassing themselves, so I thoroughly enjoy Wes bursting into the wrong house. And here’s the first of many mystical pregnancies on this show. The special effects make it hard for me to take the climax of the episode seriously. The demon just looks so fake! The last scene between Angel/Wes/Cordy is sweet, though. Lots of fun interaction between the main trio, but the main plot is too weird/cheesy for my taste. I always enjoy when she is ravenous, and goes to Angel's fridge, which of course, only has blood. and she's just guzzling it. and then Angel to Wesley: I never realized how disgusting that was. seriously, I get such a good laugh of it. I, too, enjoy bumblingness. Wesley yelling at that poor old couple, and then Angel being all headtilt towards the window of the neighbor's house. I'm afraid that I have to agree with how fake the demon looks... however, the idea of coming to in that water... shudder. I love how Joss always sends the message that if you have sex, bad things will happen to you. just what I need in my already screwed up mind! __________________ I always rip out the last page of a book. | |||

| I just finished watching this episode. The beginning was so funny, with Angel dancing!  It was interesting how she was glowing around Angel, but ultimately she was able to control herself and just left to keep helping out the others. It's cool to see how Angel has a certain affect on whoever he comes across.  btw, I just started watching the series brand new, so I'm trying to breeze by the episodes. At the very least, I'm watching one episode a day. She Dancing Angel and Wes are definitely the highlight of this episode for me. As is Angel pretending to be a museum tour guide. I don’t hate this episode, my main issue with it is that I find it kind of dull in a lot of places. There’s so much discussion of Jhiera’s dimension in this episode that it feels like we should have seen her again at some point, and since we never hear about her or her dimension again, I found it kind of boring to spend so much time on it, TBH. I wish we'd run across a character or two from her culture again, maybe then I'd feel more invested. I do like that Jhiera had her own agenda and priorities separate from Angel’s, though, rather than being a damsel in distress. And like I said, I love the dancing. Ethros demons force their victims to commit horrible acts and the gang at Angel Inc. has to perform an exorcism. Things quickly go wrong, though, and soon everyone is in even bigger danger. Meanwhile, Wes deals with memories of his own traumatic childhood and Angel continues to miss Doyle. NEVER. every other episode this season, I've got some idea, but I always draw a blank on this one. then like, three seconds into the episode, I'm always.... OH YEAH! When that demon says: "What soul?" just the creepy crawlies! | I’ve Got You Under My Skin Man, the mom’s angel obsession in this episode gets tiresome fast. I’m glad it goes away after a while. I love the reveal that Ryan’s more evil than the demon is. Usually, I find the whole evil kid thing cliché, but somehow, it works for me here. Maybe because we’re led to believe the monster of the week is the demon for so long, and then we find out that he wasn’t even responsible for anything Ryan was doing until the exorcism stuff started. I really like this episode – it’s easily one of my favorites of season 1. It’s genuinely creepy, and I like the character development for Wesley and the reminders of Doyle.
