Thanks for all the pictures. I like the one of the sign in Luke's that says, Do unto others before they do it to you. I've never noticed that on the show.

And yes, Alexis, it's very nice to have a degree. Now I just need to get a job in something I got my degree for.

Thank you, Alexis. Those are great pics. Can I ask you a question? Where were they filming during the day? I mean, if you all were outside for a lot of it and in Luke's for another part, then where were the actors? It almost seems like they had the day off, but you saw Ed and Lauren, right? Do you know if they were on the soundstage? How are the tours scheduled? Okay, that's more than one question. Sorry. I'm going to Cali in April for a work thing and I was thinking about going to do the WB tour.

Thank you, Alexis for the great pictures. It looks like you caught just about everything from Stars Hollow. I am so envious! It is going to be even more fun to watch the shows because knowing you guys have been there..how cool is that! I am trying to talk my husband in to going on a tour..the only thing is getting him from NY to California. You guys have me all excited about it though.

Congrats on your graduate! You should be so proud of yourself!

They didn't have the day off.. they were filming on location.. off the set. No one was filming GG on the set last week. We can't tell you that location yet, after the ep airs then we can say where they did the location shooting. The tours are scheduled from 10 to 4, leaving every half hour.

Hey guys,

I wasn’t sure where to post this, so I thought I’d revive this thread (I almost couldn’t find it!) to talk about the WB deluxe tour I just went on. I already posted on the spoilers board, so for those of you who go over there, I’m sorry if I repeat anything here. But I thought I’d share everything else that’s non-spoilerish here for any of you strong, spoiler-free people.

I know a lot of people have been going on the tour recently, so thanks to everyone else who has shared their experiences! – It sounds like you have all had fun as well! Oh, and I apologize for this long post, but it will include me running into Lauren Graham and Scott Patterson… so stay with me!

We went this last Monday morning (the 14th), and I guess that was a good time to go, because no one else signed up for that time, so we ended up getting a private tour. (I took my mom with me, because we have both been watching the show since day one.) Anyway, it was the first day of the tours starting in a new location at the studio. It’s nice- had gift shop, Starbuck’s etc. They take you into a screening room (more like a small movie theatre) and you watch a clip of the film/shows that Warner Bros. has produced. Your tour guide asks you what shows you watch and what sets you want to see, so for any of you wanting to go on the tour, tell them you love Gilmore Girls!

We went into the museum- which is great if you love Friends, because a lot of the set/props from that show are in the museum now. It was neat to see Monica’s kitchen, etc. There wasn’t much Gilmore Girls stuff except for an outfit of Lorelai’s and Rory’s Chilton uniform, a Stars Hollow sign, and a Luke’s menu.

So, because our tour guide knew we loved GG, she then took us to part of the back lot, a.k.a Stars Hollow. We got out of the tour cart thing (yes, that’s the official name

) and walked into the town (sort of outside of the town square.) We got to see Weston’s bakery, or “the enemy” as our guide (and Luke) called it

. We also got to look inside the building where Luke’s apartment is. It was a hot set, so we didn’t get to go in, but I could see his bed and trophies from where I was standing. We then walked over to where there was a small crowd standing around, and we watched them film a scene. The tour guide asked the security guard about it, and she told him that we were big Gilmore Girls fans. Then the security guard goes, “Oh, you should have been here ten minutes ago, because Lauren Graham was standing right here!” I laughed and figured that was just my luck. – Always ten minutes too late!

We then walked over towards Luke’s, and as we were walking, I looked to the right (kind of across the street from Taylor’s) and there was Lauren Graham!! She was just standing right in front of us, talking to a guy from the crew, smoking a cigarette, and writing on a script. I had to do a sort of double take, because I couldn’t believe it was her. She looked really beautiful. Her hair was straight, she had a light blue shirt on, black pants, and she had her signature sunglasses on top of her head. My mom whispered “There’s Lauren!” I was trying to be discreet (and not freak out) so I just nodded and tried to listen to our tour guide talk. We walked up to Luke’s and looked inside- everything is so small and really surreal to see up close and in person. Then, we just stood outside of Luke’s for awhile, with Lauren standing right in front of us. I could hear her laughing and talking to the crew guy. Then she looked over at us and smiled… I smiled back. It was awesome!

Then, we were walking back to our tour cart, and as we were walking through the narrow street (we were in the fake New York town), this black Mercedes drives right past us. At the same time, my mom goes, “That was Scott!” and our guide was like, “That was Luke, That was Luke!” We turned around just as Scott drives up to the edge of Stars Hollow. There were barricades blocking his way, so he honked to have someone let him in. No one came over, so he got out of his car and kind of looked around. He saw us and smiled (we smiled back). I was about to go help him remove the barricades

, but he decided to just walk through them and onto the set. He looked good! He was wearing jeans, a black shirt, and his hair is still on the longer side. I couldn’t believe that I had just seen Lauren Graham and Scott Patterson within the first thirty minutes of our tour…I wasn’t expecting to see anybody.

At that point, we went over to the old Friends soundstage and got to see the Joey set. We sat there for awhile, but mainly talked to our guide about Gilmore Girls and how long their hours are and especially how talented/hard-working Lauren is. Our guide said Lauren is always riding her bike around the lot, balancing a script in one hand and talking on her cell phone with the other! The guides are always telling her to be careful!

We then went into the soundstage where Emily and Richard’s mansion is. The outside of the house is actually inside, and so is their front and backyard. It’s funny to see everything not lit, and kind of messy. The house is small, and the outside of the house is made with some sort of plastic material. We also got to see a few other sets. Lorelai’s house and the Dragonfly were hot sets, so we couldn’t go into those, but we did get to talk to a few guys on the crew. All the guys that work on the set, whether it is the prop guys, set design, etc., are called the “Gilmore Guys”.

So every time they would pass us, our tour guide would say “Hey Gilmore Guys”. Everyone who works on the show and at the studio is really nice, and they are all willing to talk to you and answer questions.

On our way to lunch, we saw John Cryer (from Two and a Half Men and Pretty in Pink), and we also saw the actor who plays Jackson (Jackson Douglas) twice.

Anyway, we also saw Mrs. Kim’s, Sookie’s, the outside of Lorelai’s house, the chuppah, the garage, the boat, Lorelai’s Jeep, Rory’s car, etc., but we had to hurry and take pictures, because the crew was headed our way to film a scene. After that, we were allowed to watch them film a scene and saw Keiko Agena.

The tour also included seeing the ER set and few of their cast members, watching the cast of the George Lopez show rehearse, seeing wardrobe, the sound room in post-production (where we watched them add sound to the new movie House of Wax), and of course, going into the Friends Central Perk set- sitting on the couch, taking lots of pics, etc. Also, Matt LeBlanc (Joey) walked right past us and sort of nodded and said “hey”. That was hilarious. Oh, and we also saw David Schwimmer (Ross) that day too. It was crazy.
There was so much more seeing as the tour lasted over five hours, but by far, the best thing was Gilmore Girls and seeing Lauren and Scott!

Again, I apologize for the long post, but I just thought I’d share my experience. It seemed to be a Gilmore Girls/Lauren Graham themed trip, because we also stayed in the hotel where Lauren did the press junket for her movie, The Pacifier, and we also drove past the “Gilmore Bank” where apparently the Palladinos are regulars and got the name “Gilmore” from.

I can't believe you saw LG & SP! I probably would have passed out!! Sounds like you had an AWESOME time though!!!

All this WB talk is REALLY persuading me to go!!

Yeah, I'm surprised I stayed as calm as I did! You should definitely try to go if you get the chance!- It's well worth it!

Awe, I'm glad you feel better KCsGirl! No, unfortunately, I didn't get to take pictures of Lauren or Scott, because we were on the set when they were filming, so we had to put our cameras away.

I did take other pics of the backlots and was thinking of putting them on photobucket or something, but none of them are of the actors.

I can't tell you how jealous I am right now! Sounds like you had an awesome time! I so wanna go on the tour but unless I'm robbing a bank I won't even be able to go to LA

...
